All true. I think some of the "educated" fans never got over the balls he showed after he got drafted. Plus he's hurt/sore/stiff a lot - not quite quantifiable injuries so he's suspect to some there. And he's neither flashy nor personable, so the kids don't take much to him either. People don't care that he has a sweet, pure swing or that he hits for decent power for a guy who doesn't swing like a power hitter.

More than anything else right now I'd like to see a little spark somewhere and have the team get a little mo going in. The Sox never seem to do well when they just limp in.

Just got back from Fenway. It was a great game that really sucked. Those dongs Buchholz gave up were absolute bombs. I really though Pedro had a walkoff, and Youk had to be guessing there on 3-2.

You know why you do it, Crunch. Somebody has to make sure those 20sumthins learn which end is up and who better for them to learn from? And the truth of that statement is embedded in the fiber of your being (as well as the scarring of your liver) to the point that you have humbly accepted the responsibility of the task, no matter what the cost. It's so giving, so altruistic, such a selfless act that I'm sure most of the uninitiated can't even begin to comprehend the depth of your generosity. You set the bar high, my friend, you really do. And not just so I can't reach your booze.

It's not difficult, all you need to do is take a leak. The plant oils don't wash off very easily and get on your clothing as well as your skin, so you can get it even after you move away from the plant.
