  1. You really are a prick, huh?
  2. well, those phillies really are in a phunk...
  3. High upside, low risk move. The guy is 30 and he still has power, but he is a total f***up. He and Long may or may not help, but I wont hold my breath......
  4. I think ESPN is trying to get away from the late 90s sentiment. In the late 90s, ESPN was all over the yankees jock, and rightfully so. I think a lot of non-yankee fans got a bit upset and now there is a significant anti-yankee sentiment on ESPN, sans Olney, who himself isnt as much of a homer as Gammons is. Gammo really got me the other day when he was making a list of which rookies were likely to come up midseason and make an impact when he picked 4 guys and the top 2 were red sox, hansen and lester, and both are not likely to even come up to the bigs this yr in a big time role. And, in the same piece, he picked the most improved player of the AL as Wily Mo, when Alex Rios was a more deserving player. His homerism is hilarious as he will make predictions at the beginning of the yr completely shunning the sox, then he will point out how grea they are the entire season.
  5. nope. The fact is, things couldnt really get much worse and we are still treading water....
  6. Here's the thing, we should have won the game yesterday and they should have won the game today. We're even now. Here's the deal man, our defense will go through phases, as will our pitching. Once sheff comes back and Posada plays on a daily basis, the offense will be the only constant that wont be phasic. Until then, our offense is hit or miss. Since our series with you guys, our starting pitching has been in shambles (sans moose and wang), our bullpen has been unreliable (aside from Proctor), our defense has been horrendous, we have been tremendously fragile, and our offense has been pathetic sans one game and the 9th from today (even though we didnt hit the ball). Taking that into consideration, we are 3-3 since that series. Sheff will be back within 2 weeks (assuming he doesnt milk this for an extension the greedy f***). Posada will start tomorrow. Damon will eventually get back on track, ARod will put up his numbers at some point, and Giambi wont hit under .160 for the month. We'll be fine...
  7. Hughes wont get the call this yr. BUT, I expect him to make his debut next season when pussano pusses out again....
  8. Hughes had the same thing that most kids get when they come up, dead arm. Hansen had it last yr and I dont think anyone here is calling him injury prone. The yankees are just a little more cautious than most...
  9. dana, I can tell you are a frustrated little pisser, seriously go f*** yourself. You never get mad at your team? You are lying if you say you dont, so seriously, eat s***....
  10. on the contrary, the yankees tried to hand this game to the mets, only to have them hand it back to us. We had 4 errors and they had 3. BTW, Julio cannot hold a baserunner to save his life...
  11. Mariano was vintage. Man, 4K's in 2 innings and only baserunner reached on a punch and judy single to right. Encouraging to say the least. Unfortunately, Mo and Proctor are probably out of action for tomorrow and Farns is questionable with his back injury. Lets see how Colter does....
  12. Yankees Win, Thahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Yankees Win
  13. Duncan did...
  14. didnt you say that last yr too? It is may bro...
  15. its over, Cash, do something, this team as currently constructed cannot beat good teams, period....
  16. They could bring Lima into the game and he'd dominate this s***** lineup. f***in torre, pinch hit there, you have to be f***ing kidding me....
  17. f*** this pathetic team, they are not the yankees, f***in A...
  18. we are letting stinnett hit? Posada could gut it out here. Man, this team is totally horrible..
  19. f***ing shitshow
  20. well, this is your chance RSN. Looks like we'll have sheff out for at least 2 more weeks. Posada will be back tomorrow probably, who knows how long it takes rj to get back to form, etc, etc, etc. This wont be the situation for the entire yr, most likely. This is your chance to break away...
  21. I originally thought that our rotation would take up the cross and pick it up while our hitting was on the fritz. Unfortunately, it looks like our pitchers liked the comfort....
  22. Can Mastui get a wrist transplant and get on the field sooner? Can sheff suck it up? f***ing team makes me ill right now. Its like watching the colombus clippers with worse pitching...
  23. They just demoted a lefty pitcher who was supposed to be nasty. He wasnt ready though....
  24. E-rod f***s up again, gets a hit when we dont need it and whiffs when we need a hit. The he airmails a throw that sets up 2 unearned runs. f***ing useless...
  25. It's a part of the game. You guys will have your injuries too, as your pitching staff is old as well. Pavano and Beckett have similar injury histories, it is just that Pavano is hurt now and Beckett is healthy. He'll be on the DL at some point. Schilling also hasnt been shutdown either. It is a long season, we just need to survive this rough spot without falling like a stone...
