  1. Good luck Millsy!
  2. Sean, Mr Crunchy doesn't post as much these days, neither does YAZMAN. Paradisecity has been here on a regular basis. TMW never came back after the initial ban. mjriv, baseballdoctor is now jacksonianmarch. You should PM Sean to let him know you are back!
  3. Me too. Good for McGuire. A lot of players who weren't "great" can be good coaches/managers. Playing well and teaching well are 2 different things.
  4. The World Baseball Classic sucks.
  5. OMG!! That is awesome that you listen to Elliot in the Morning. Love him. I heard it too. A reporter blogging during last night's game for the Boston Globe mentioned it as well: UPDATE, 8:28 p.m.: Crowd was hanging on every pitch in the first inning and Pettitte looked sharp. Meanwhile, two interesting baseball tidbits from today: Mark McGwire will be the hitting coach of the Cardinals and ESPN has canned Steve Phillips. One disgraced figure is out, another comes back. No big shock his wife filed for divorce. Won't miss him on ESPN.
  6. That's my girl Yaz. The absolute coolest cat I've ever had!! Stay warm and don't be a stranger.
  7. WELLSY!!!! Welcome back bro! You have been missed. It's so weird, I thought about you last week and wondered how the hell you are doing! All is fine with me. This season was frustrating as hell. The way we played the last month or so, I knew we wouldn't get out of the first round of the play offs. Just hope the Angels can take care of the MFY, not an easy job, but the Nick Adenhart (sp?) mojo might just make it happen. So hope that all is well with you etc etc!! Really good to see you back!!!!
  8. To make you feel better, I don't have that much faith in the Yankees. Go Angels! Win the next two and have the 3-2 lead going back to the Bronx.
  9. Dodgers. //////////////////////////////////////////// Umpires named for ALCS, NLCS Posted by Peter Abraham October 14, 2009 06:50 PM Shockingly, CB Bucknor and Phil Cuzzi didnt make it. ALCS: Tim McClelland (chief) with Dale Scott, Jerry Layne, Fieldin Culbreth, Laz Diaz and Bill Miller. NLCS: Randy Marsh (chief) with Gary Cederstrom, Tom Hallion, Ted Barrett, Bruce Dreckman and Sam Holbrook. ................ Ha Ha Ha Ha
  10. I heard on Fox Sports radio today that he isn't retiring saying he didn't go through the Tommy John and all the re-hab for nothing.
  11. LET'S GO ANGELS!!
  12. Baldelli out of ALDS Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff October 8, 2009 12:50 PM NEW YORK - Rocco Baldelli will not be on the roster tonight when the Red Sox face the Los Angeles Angels tonight. The determination was made today in Anaheim according to a team source. Baldelli, suffering from a left hip flexor strain, simply couldn't recover in time to hep the Red Sox in this round. The feeling is Baldelli should recover to help the Red Sox should they advance to the next round. Here is the full ALDS Red Sox roster: Starters 1. Jon Lester 2. Josh Beckett 3. Clay Buchholz 4. Daisuke Matsuzaka Bullpen 5. Billy Wagner 6. Takashi Saito 7. Jonathan Papelbon 8. Paul Byrd 9. Daniel Bard 10. Hideki Okajima 11. Ramon Ramirez Infielders 12. Dustin Pedroia 13. Kevin Youkilis 14. Mike Lowell 15. Alex Gonzalez 16. Casey Kotchman 17. Jed Lowrie 18. David Ortiz Outfielders 19. Brian Anderson 20. Jason Bay 21. Jacoby Ellsbiury 22. J.D. Drew 23. Joey Gathright Catchers 24. Victor Martinez 25. Jason Varitek
  13. That's your definition. I ALWAYS want the NYY to lose, no matter what.:harhar:
  14. Congrats Twins. I felt like either team who won tonight's game, has a chance of taking Game 1 from the Yanks...momentum and all. Unless they party too hard and are hungover. We'll see what CC does this time around. It's the Play Offs, ANYTHING can happen. GO TWINS!!
  15. Please, NO Bon Jovi. Not a fan. At any rate....we all know that ANYTHING can happen in the post season, regardless of regular season accomplishments.
  16. Lando with THE BOMB!
  17. It's kinda like a rookie hazing thing. They did it to Youk in 2004, he came into the dug out high fiving the air, it was funny.

  20. GREAT news about Gonzo!!
  21. I suppose that is possible but I don't recall Lester having a tired arm or injury. He needs to get another start in before the ALDS.
