    outside of falling 3-1 to cleveland their plan since june 1st has been played to a T im not a francona or theo guy but i tend to call spades spades. these 2 succeeded this summer inspite of the gagne deal(i do it all day long)and maybe using dice in game 2 against the halos. outstanding effort by francona and the gm to get these guys prepared for october nobody remembers manny disappearing in september now because hes hitting 400 in october no one remembers schilling taking 6 weeks off to rest a tired arm with no apparent injury no one remembers we dl'd beckett all these moves played out perfectly the younger guys like youk and pedroia looked burnt out at the end of the year they now look great no one needed the time off more than us and our people have used it brilliantly i just dont see how colorado hangs around here

    the scariest thing i ever saw on my brand new sony hd 60 inch set was joe torre sinking his pinky knuckle deep to the fist into his nostril. id rather see andre""moose""dupont and bobby clarke mark out with tongues. (that was for you jimma) i was thisclose2 putting the old 27 sanyo back up i took a xanax and did some breathing exercises and now manage to deal with it

    joe torre has mid 8 figures in the checking account im not sure theres an urgency to earn just yet maybe this weekend i'll see him at the breeders cup at monmouth park and i'll toss him a 10.00 bill and tell him to keep his chin up. maybe he can tune into fox to see a team who loves their manager play for it all.... talk is cheap do you really think torre jeter and posada were begging for clemens return or were they promoting the company line? he may have mismanaged his bullpen but when you trot out the likes of pavano igawa mussina and clemens thru out the year your bullpen should be frayed and exhausted... that still had no bearing on wang gagging on the wong and the bats,led by captain intangibles,sleeping soundly against cleveland. blame torre its easier than accepting the fact that this teams pitching staff is horrible

    weather may play a factor in this say we open tonite and it pours in the 4th inning and then the 2.5 hour rain delay occurs then becks wont return.... he will then be essentially fresh for the game 4 start seeing as i will be in attendance tomorrow evening do i want to see becks or schillings last start in fenway?? schilling hasnt lost a playoff game in fenway park and his home #s are just insane over the years here our pen performed very well and is jon paplebon a complete and utter psychopath or what? between him and julian tavares it would be difficult to get comfortable in the box.

MUTHAFUKA you really dont appreciate winning till you lose with your guts spilled all over the field for all to see..if youve played long enuff at any level it happened to you... if clevelands cy young candidates approached their regular season #s we would be fighting over who sucks more us or ny they didnt i hope that they tie for the cy just to show what a ******** award that can actually be f*** ryan garko he never did take a D battery off the back of his head well theres next year

    i love wakes versatility and i dont like this i s*** yellow every time he takes the mound but he has been effective over the years despite his propensity to give up crooked #s from time to time too bad this is a mans man who is larger than life off the field in his charity work

    either lowell or arod will play 3rd in fenway we going balls out for arod,theo adores him and theo gets what he wants most times i like lowell but i like arod better and people the elderly woman from viriginia is correct stop and smell the roses today,if you work where i do,stop and smell the deisel fumes or the farmer who just left the public toilet unusable for the rest of the day.. WHY DO I HAVE TO WORK WITH f***ING PEASANTS.....

    i dunno luca the yanks werent built to succeed in october everyone of cashmans free agents blew dead dogs start with pavano end with igawa and all of them in between sucked they were out of it and then played .700 ball down the stretch to get to the playoffs. i think asking a 12 year veteran manager to take a pay cut is insulting(insult me all day)in the grand scheme of things,he had them there every year this wont happen again in our lives we wont see a team get to october 12 times in a row he lost a bit of respect by whining out the door but ultimately it came down to success or lack there of in october that finally ended him i like torre but he was a complete underachiever

    bc beat them 2 years in a row bc beat clemson 2 years in a row bc beat fla state 2 years in a row bc beat maryland 2 years in a row the only team theyve had a real problem with is miami who has beaten them religiously since 84.. this will be a fight but i think sean glennon is the worst qb in the acc and va tech has the most pedestrian offense in the top tier of that league they play defense,they are very physical too. if bc holds onto the football and dont give up the backbreaking plays on special teams they can handle these guys

    if the sox are down 3-0 youll see becks in game 4 outside that relatively imppssible scenario i dont think he'll go on 3 days rest i saw the rox dismantle the sox this summerand at the time i thought they would compete for the west but i actually thought the padres were the best nl club. the worst thing possible happened to them they stopped playing the sox are still a relatively fresh unit despite a 7 game series becks looks like hes going to win 2 games schill will win 1 and the bullpen will pull another one out and i say 5 games we finish them i like their defense and i love their bats but i dont see fogg francis and the other guys being able to contain an offense that is juuuuust about exploding all 9 cylinders at once now... good for tito using the jacoby and leaving drew in there i may have gone another way

    becks has restored a lot of the swagger that left with peteys velocity the man is money and in the post season hes done it against some formidable offenses from the cubs of 03 the yanks that same year and this cleveland club bangs too.. hes cool hes confident and hes unflappable his deuce last nite was incredible and his heat was consistant 95+ he gives the confidence we used to get with martinez hopefully schilling sees this as a challenge

    i too would like to be insulted with 5m on the table however just as in real life when you break your balls and have success you expect rewards from your employers,not threats and backstabbing. thats the best job in sports says mike lupica?? i always thought he was a f***ing idiot you wont ever see a manager do 12 trips in a row to october you may never see a manager do 12 years period

    quite frankly i get tired of explaining that the schedules are booked years in advance its also difficult to justify umass army and bowling green for 3 straight home games but undefeated is undefeated and ive seen ohio states schedule and am not overly impressed kent st indiana northwestern etc.. both teams will need to win to prove themselves and the hardest games are yet to come for both teams

    funny how that works the yankee mystique has been exposed georgies silver spoon fed bastard offspring will run this team into purgatory by virtue of greed we saw what happened here when tom yawkey retired to the big Klan meeting in the sky the white snake of westwood,john harrington,the old skank jean jeanie,buddy,hayward sullivan etc.... it never goes well when theres too many hands in the soup... the yankees era of torre is over and with that we close a chapter on one of the best runs in baseball history that still maybe deemed failing due to their october effort this century.. i never thought much of torre as a manager his team,despite their professed love for him,stuffed it up his ass when it counted most and he has been out coached by the likes of francona and that old 78 year old florida manager who is now in a senility home 4 years after beating joe in the 03 classic. f*** you yankee guys you deserve pain suffering confusion and about 80 more years of ineptitude.

    college athletics are at the bottom of the sports barrel here in boston perhaps thats because all our pro teams look so good these days perhaps its because the citizens of newton hate the catholic hordes who decend on them on fall saturdays. they need another venue and that aint happenin in my lifetime. i love bc sports but they play in a horrible stadium with little game day atmosphere unless you call drinking at joeys pub on market street till game time and taking a cab over to commonwealth ave is your type of tail gating. they sell out pretty much every game

    torres got his money he doesnt need to take the insult or the ******** for an extra couple mill per the yanks offered him enuff to walk away and enuff to pretend they wanted him good,more chaos in the cesspool known as the bronx what is going to develop now? will rivera petitte and whorrrrrrre heey bolt? will torre be managing in baltimore or losangeles? what about boston?
