  1. i got a hand carved chess set made in russia that was pretty nice outside that santa will bring me 2500-3000 worth of credit card bills my wife bought us a 6 bone prime rib roast at whole foods at 12.95 a lb,my mother came with her home made ravioli and cappeletti and the assorted dessert dishes like cheese cake, canoli and creme puffs came from ray and dicks bakery a couple im friends with brought me a bottle of Dows Port wine vintage 1985 which is thicker than molasses and tasted like the drink that the Gods would imbibe in heaven between the food and the wine i couldnt button my pants this morning thank god for dockers
  2. win lose or draw chad penningtons soft serve will have 1 of his receivers in critical condition or at the very least in a stretcher before this game ends and what happened to dallas?? i understand and appreciate a lot of the hatred people have for the cowboys but i thought they were serious about this season im wondering if the tuna packed it in after a couple months with terrell owens his defense is s***,when philly runs for 200 yards you got issues his new stud qb is suddenly flawed and pitiful and their running game is under utilized and ineffective when needed and they appear to lack motivation t/o looks disappointed when someone else makes a play worth while philly and garcia on the other hand looked pretty good and are arguably the hottest team in football, certainly in the nfc MERRY CHRISTMAS to all the christians and to our Jewish kin Happy CHANUKAH i had the rabbi Mindi Kivman over for a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers this afternoon im working on him but after 35 years in an Israeli kibbutz and 50 years of preaching the Talmud he will be a tuff nut to convert he will be a most valued friend and neighbor none the less this is the best of america and the way the forefathers had it planned i feel
  3. You guys may laugh, but if Pavano comes back and pitches decently, say with a 4.50 ERA, the Yankees have as deep a rotation as there is. Not bad... The gap widens.... the only gap in this discussion is the one between pavanos legs that is indeed widening daily
  4. i do like prince fielder
  5. see how much i follow milwaukee?? sheets is a legit #1 anywhere and capuano had a very good year too with suppan and bush they're somewhat legit
  6. selig is douchebag a used car salesmen shouldnt be trusted to run our national pasttime but the brewers have ben davis and damico losing carlo lee will hurt but theyre in the nl central so anythings possible over there
  7. i played hard ball for 10 years and drunk league softball for 10 more and i still havent decephired what VORP is
  8. suicide?? by getting slapped in the face with an 8 figure deal isnt a bad way to die plus the brewers do have some pitching now(i think) so he'll be a 3 i feel
  9. right field?? sure thats where all the weak throwing outfielders end up
  10. ai is a winner always was always will be despite his tattooes and propencity to be around gun fights his backcourt partner in georgetown,1 victor page is an example of where ai could be page was the 1 of the most sought after high school players ever but like ai,had a coke and gun conviction before his 20th b'day today victor page has 1 eye as he got shot in the face in dc back in 03 rumor has it his cousin retaliated as 2 teens were shot to death in 04 and its said they were the guys who gunned down victor i think ai has seen the lite and truly wants to win noone doubts his ability its his attitude which has been called out and i for 1 think its behind him now
  11. ai will bring some tuffness to the nuggs who have historically been softer than puppy s*** he can score and dish with the best of them there is however only 1 ball this eases the pain of the 15g suspension on anthony and if your a nuggs fan you gotta be excited
  12. my bad men apologies
  13. its not just the overpaying for ballplayers that dwarfs the other league but consider how much more we are spending than the others is whats mind boggling
  14. was he in oakland last year jack??
  15. kennedy was a hi fallutin draft pick and if im not mistaken it was tampa that had him 1st his career can be described as a disappointment but hes still young enuff and he throws from the left side so its still very possible for him to have what amounts to be an effective career
  16. do i?? honestly?? i think they can be competetive with donnelly, delcarmen and romero in the 6-7-8 matchups and even win with these guys IF they can find someone to get outs in the 9th i'd like to see someone who fire bb's as well as can eat glass and abuse kittens with no remorse to fill that hole those men are few and far between despite the fact that hansen can throw 100 he looks like a freshman girl on prom nite after she drank a bottle of tango and is now in the backseat of a 74 country squire wondering if her dress is going to wrinkle in the glove compartment.. someday perhaps he will make marvelous bait for the man we need wherever he may be anyways problems we have are ny and toronto are the best offensvie teams in baseball now anyone we have in that role will probably struggle a bit against these teams so closer by committee isnt out of the question at this stage of the game timlin?? he worked his ass off for 15 years and pitched a lot of meaningfull innings in meaningfull situations i hope he still has it im of the opine that he dont anymore but im willing to be proved wrong
  17. indy helped denver out last nite cinci had been on a psuedo roll till then freeny was a beast, manning was fantastic and their back had a huge game i still think cinci is going places for some reason despite that defense looking like s*** too bad theyve had so many distractions via the police in cincinatti fukin idiots should understand that the cops are gunning for them
  18. 7 different winners in 7 years your words ring true however getting there is hard and the truth is the best pitching staff of the season usually wins it all every year we can discuss the yanks then the dbax who had rj and schill, the halos of 02 had a tremendous bullpen and a ballsy manager, the 03 fins had beckett burnett penny and a decent pen the sox had 2 1st ballot halloffamers,,a lites out d lowe and a solid pen the 05 chisox were the best team in baseball for 7 months with the best rotation and lets face it,last years tigers team was the best in baseball and they had the pitching as well pitching cost money cincinatti wont have the best rotation in baseball for the rest of eternity nor will colorado pittsburg or frisco unless they happen to develop healthy studs and backdoor someone on a trade my simple point is this pitching wins pitching cost money money that isnt to be found in the cities of the midwest outside chitown and stlouis to a smaller extent based on the above its difficult to fathom how the nl will be as competetive as the al down the road
  19. this is 1 sport where 1 man makes a world of diff the nuggs are pretty good but this will cost them a few games in the overall standings in the west which in turn may cost them a home game in the playoffs this after being up 20 in the last minute of the game against the floundering knicks?? george karl f***ed up but he gets a pass here due to the other coach being 1 of the most hated men on the planet and definitley in the sport
  20. im not a fan of the dh either but i'd rather watch the reggie jacksons and david ortiz's of the world than watch jeff weaver attempt to sacrifice a guy on 1st over to 2nd with 1 out in the 7th of a tied game as far as the nl coming back to compete with the al?? i doubt it very very much due to the simple fact that more high profile large market teams lie in the al with the exceptions of the mets and dodgers and to a lower extent the stros cards phillies and cubs the rest of the nl from dc to miami to cinci and pittsburg is just a barren wasteland of revenue this isnt good for the game either unless major league bball sets a salary cap in place you will have 75% of the teams knowing they have no shot at winning it all in march sure colorado san diego and san fran will be competetive till the end but thats due to the mediocrity of the league theyre in as opposed to how good they are
  21. lets see if what we have pans out everyone can use him thru september
  22. isiah is one of the reasons that lesbian lacrosse is about to pass the nba in tv ratings hes been a flaming cock sucker for 25 years and should be beaten by larry dolan and the other knick owners for the common good of the franchise david stern has issues with guys who make 8 figures a year bitching about respect and acting like common street niggas as opposed to the proffesionals theyre supposed to act like ive followed melo since syracuse and hes been a good kid the whole time hes a player and a great teamate as well however this is example time once again let this show the other nitwits in the league what could happen to them if they want to throw down on the court let them go out into the parking lot and settle it with uzi's like real men
  23. what kind of a closer do you think a #5 outfielder who was waived last year would bring??
  24. im not so sure that timlin can pitch at all anymore mr C hes old and there a lot of huge innings under his hat we got issues over there,no doubt as far as 86 goes considering we had the rapidly declining bob stanley and the never was of the mid season aquisition of joe sambito we had a bullpen of scatine to say the least in 86 we had clemens who may have had the best regular season ever that year we had dennis boyd who won 17 games and shouldve been an allstar we had bruce hurst who had his name written as the MVP of the 86 series as he was a hoss and maybe the best money pitcher to ever wear a sox uniform not named tiant we had a very serviceable al nipper at the time as well as a vet like tom seaver who put together a decent 2nd half with 100+innings and a 3.5? era take note a good starting staff from soup to nuts doesnt tax your bullpen and allows guys like shag crawford tim lollar andsammy fukin stewart theability to stay fresh and effective thruout the year last year we lost 425 or more innings with the loss of wakefield and the deal for pena they were replaced by complete and utter stiffs who couldnt finish 3 innings the bullpen was s*** by august outside our closer who is no longer in the bullpen equation. anyways as far as schiraldi goes do you remember him drilling brian downing with the bases loaded 2 strikes and 2 out against the halo's mr C?? it was an epiphany of the most unsettling evening i ever spent outside of a hospital room or a funeral parlor
