  1. Jermaine O'Neal signs with the Celtics for 2 years. Another solid pickup, he's a great fill-in for Perk
  2. We just lost three games by only -4 runs (to a top 3 team in baseball), while starting Doubrout, Matsuzaka, and Wakefield (Tampa started their three best), and playing without Martinez, Pedroia, Youkillis (for a game), and Ellsbury. Ya we are being stretched thin but aren't being blown out of the water by any means. This team will be deadly after the ASB IMO.
  3. Swept by a margin of 4 runs, tough series
  4. This is horribly pathetic
  5. And wtf Tito, why did Cameron not take that AB?
  6. f***ing A youk...
  7. Really it seems Wade and Bosh are the ones who look really weak in this. In the past both have seemed to think they are #1 options/franchise players yet are being Lebron's bitches right now. Like See Red says, it does very little for their legacies if they just follow Lebron like they are doing now. Both have proved in the past that they are just #1 options on slightly above .500 teams (or lower) except when Wade had an elite Shaq. Lebron on the other hand has never had an elite player with him yet has a pair of back to back 60+ win seasons and a number of 50+ win seasons to go along with them, whole different level from the other two.
  8. Yankees bullpen after Rivera/Mitre (two best performers), 5.13 ERA. Not many teams have good MR pitchers after maybe one or two guys
  9. The article mentions a figure of around 2mil. Slot recommendation for the first overall pick is only 4mil.
  10. Don't see why we wouldn't offer up what it takes to get him signed as long as he's again pitching at a high level post-injury. The Sox have used big money to sign guys like Westmoreland and Renfroe in recent drafts.
  11. id like to see AAA pitcher Coello get a chance. He's another independent leaguer who's been excellent at every step in the minors and has 21 Ks in 16 IP thus far in AAA.
  12. false
  13. 7 walks and close to 150 pitches thrown and only slightly more than 50% strikes, wow
  14. ahhh yeaaa
  15. Pretty amazing playoffs for the Celtics overall though, a #4 seed, beating Wade, Lebron, Howard, and taking Kobe/Gasol right to the edge all while being the lower seed (except against the Heat).
  16. I don't get why the FIFA commissioner is so reluctant to ban the horns. He's making it out like this is some cultural thing that has been around for decades but really these horns only started to gain popularity after 2001.
  17. I'm a believer in Nava and think he's much better than a "AAA-scrub" he's hit well (amazingly well) at every level in the minors. Some were against younger players but once you start hitting AA/AAA pitching real well then there's a good chance you can hit MLB pitching at a good rate, age be damned. I think he'll be a .800+ OPS hitter in the majors in due time
  18. Someone fill me in, why is Atchison starting a baseball game for this team?
  19. Ever since we let go of Kotsay we lost more than just a backup OF
  20. Bottom line this team needs a good MILF or they aren't going anywhere. You just can't win in this league without an awesome MIF
  21. scouting report from BA: http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/draft/news/2010/2610184.html Not bad
