I know fans are split into two camps now but I honestly don't get why we wouldn't trade two to three out of Jose Iglesias, Ryan Kalish, Ryan Westmorland, Casey Kelly, Lars Anderson, Tazawa, Bowden. Why are people so confidante that these guys are going to be so good that it isn't worth trading them to get a stud third basemen who is young and entering his prime. I had this argument about Dojji last year, who cares about Lars Anderson (not that, that was the sole reason we didnt get him) when you have a sure thing in Tex?

    If we don't sign Bay how much money will we have to work with next off season? I would imagine a lot. The money not spent on Manny's options and the money saved by not signing Tex. Could we resign Beckett, get Halladay and make a decent run at Mauer?

    Are you being sarcastic? Nick Swisher is really what gave the Yankees the edge this year, not writing blank checks to the 3 best free agents out there.

    I'm sorry this is reactionary. I just saw a piece of s*** at DH for the last 3 games after not watching and paying very little attention for the last 2 months. . .I've been out of the country.

    Last year hurt, we were a better team and were so close to back to back rings. This year they just didnt have it.

    He is on a series decline, he'll only get worse and is not producing enough at the plate for a DH.

    I agree but not even part time with Ortiz. Ortiz is done. Split with Kotchman or go out and get someone. What about getting Holliday and keeping Bay and have one DH?

    There are to many holes in their lineup. I think the starting pitching is fine. We need a big bat. I dont want to bring it up but Tex could have been the difference and I'll leave it at that. We need to find a bat though or else next year will be more of the same.

    I didnt see the game so Ihave a few questions before I jump to conclusions. Was Beckett back to his old self? Why didnt Papelbon come in for the save? Did Wagner implode in a pressure situation like I said he would or was it something else? Why is everyone yelling at Tek?

    I'm going to Parekn Stadium Saturday for the Danish Portugal WC qualifier. The game is home for the Danes and I'm going to a bar inside the stadium for the game. I cant wait. If Portugal lose they are basically eliminated. Cant wait to see Ronaldos tears.
