  1. why would the braves make the trade and get little in return?
  2. I think Sox Fan in Tex should never post here again after starting this thread. anyone else on board with that
  3. He is the new King Felix
  4. He is pitching for the AA Trenton Thunder.
  5. see if MILB.com has any.
  6. I agree it will be a disappointment if Bowden doesn't get a High A cup of coffee this year. Also I have heard that Hughes is much bigger than he is listed at and is in the 230-240 range. Bowden I think is now up between 220 and 225 still great size for a starting pitcher.
  7. Again another guy the sox won't overpay for. No need to give up too much young talent for a 39 year old guy that won't help this team down the road. We know you live for the right now but that is not how Theo likely will look at things. No chance he parts alot of young talent for a guy that won't even help him in 2-3 years. Schuerholtz doesn't have to trade him because he isn't in position to lose him at the end of the year for nothing. He can just pick up his reasonable option and have him back for the braves next year. If you want smoltz you will be paying schuerholtz what he wants.
  8. I'm sure the same thing was said about Aaron Small last year and he ended up going 10-0. Him and Chacon both suck but somehow combined for a 17-3 record down the stretch to win the division. Maybe Snyder can be one of those guys but its likely he isn't but after his solid start against Washington he definitely deserved another start and maybe the sox catch lightning in a bottle considering we saw it last year with 2 stiffs.
  9. But as I said baseball is not played on paper but if it was I would chalk this game up to the A's. But anything can happen.
  10. Suppan was useless down the stretch and failed to make the ALCS roster.
  11. Much needed win from the Sox and great pitching by Schilling. Tomorrow the sox are likely in for a battle with Snyder pitching and the A's look like the favorite on paper but the games are not played on paper which is gives us a chance.
  12. It might be Monday. His 20 days in the minors is getting close to being over and you can sure the Red Sox want to get him as many at-bats in the minors as they can before he has to return.
  13. Its tough to do anything when their is not much out there. And by no means will the Red Sox overpay for an average starting pitcher.
  14. He doesn't have Hughes size but could be just as good. Both Hughes and Bowden were 19 in the SAL. The Yanks have been aggressive with Hughes and I think the Sox will not do the same with Bowden.
  15. Great numbers from the 2007 starting secondbaseman. I can't wait til the Pedroia era begins. I have been following this guy since he was drafted and have been anticipating the day he arrives in Boston.
  16. Park factor has alot to do with his era. Take his out of Safeco Field and lets see how he does.
  17. Synder's start might be moved up to Sunday as Wake's back is still hurting.
  18. Beckett slate is done..... 4 2/3 runs 7 runs
  19. 4 walks already....can beckett learn some other pitches. schilling please teach him to throw a splitter.
  20. I think Tek has been calling a pathetic game for beckett.
  21. Denny Neagle after with he caught with a prositute.
  22. What have they done to earn the contracts they were given. How about nothing
  23. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?id=2518991
  24. I wouldn't do that deal. Meche is nothing special.
