It's really an embarassment that Francona plays Kapler over Pena when Pena is a superior player to him. Who cares about how good defensively kapler is he can't hit.
exactly and thats why I have said his .300 plus average would come down because he doesn't do anything with the bat. Trot is not in a slump. He is just coming back down to his career norms. He is a declining ballplayer and no matter how good he is in the field the Red Sox should not bring him back because his bat is declining and has been for the past few years and he is always an injury risk.
He has shown no progress at all. His weight might be down a bit since the Sox had him in extended ST for a bit but his stats and perifs are ho hum and basically are nothing special to look at. He doesn't show the dedication one would think. His pitches are also having a tough time even getting into the 90's.
I'm hoping Papelbon and Lester have big series for comments made by this guy. I hope they stick it to Dave Cameron.

Looking back on it Arod was a fool to leave Seattle. Yes he left for more money but he had a comfort zone there and would be taking the beating he is today since he came up in the mariners system.
The Sox with the pitching matchups they have this weekend will be very lucky if they win 2 of 3. Lester is making his return home to the Pacific Northwest to pitch in front of family and friends on sunday so I'm hoping he steps up big time.
