    There is no cake to eat until he proves that he can pitch well at Fenway. Signing a phenomena talent like Pedro or Schilling long term before they pitched at Fenway is one thing They were both CY Young caliber hurlers when they were acquired. The jury is out on Miley and PRcello, especially Miley.

    I thought that my lack of appreciation for Adam Sandler movies was a generational thing. Other than his brawl with Bob Barker in Happy Gilmore, I find nothing humorous in his movies.

    Pedroia made an out. He is on the decline and his contract is a waste of money. He needs to get gone in a trade foer a pitcher so we can open up second base for Mookie and get Castillo back from AAAA.

    It is great to have a deep bench if guys accept their roles. THe manager does the not so easy task of keeping them all involved and game sharp. Some guys do not accept those roles. I remember Jay Payton acting like a jack hole about being a reserve.

    Farrell is going to have to be creative to get all of the bats in the lineup to make them attractive as trade bait. Castillo had better tear it up at AAA if he wants to be called up anytime soon.

    If my brother sees a firearm in a movie that is inappropriate for the era, he will just turn off the movie. One time he turned off a movie because the characters had six shooters at the time of the Alamo. Those guns were not around at that time. I think that's what it was, but I could be misrembering. LOL!

    I'm just not sure why they did this so soon. We keep how he was a victim of poor defense in Detroit, but isn't a pretty pitcher friendly ballpark? Why not wait a half a dozen starts to see how his stuff plays at Fenway. Also, this contract provides a context for how unrealistic the Red Sox first offer to Lester was. The Red Sox lock down Miley without him throwing a pitch for us and then they do the same for Porcello, but they let the big fish off the hook? I am not quite sure that I get that strategy. Locking down Buchholz early was not exactly the best strategy. That contract has not returned a lot of value.
