  1. Where you go wrong is that you attribute intent on someone else's behalf. It is all a joke. Lighten up, teach, and stop making prejudgments. I don't even know what Mike Hazbeen looks like and he hasn't done anything yet so why would I criticize him?
  2. I agree that Buch has no brains, and probably no guts either.
  3. I want to see DD take the team from the extreme of teams being out of the race by August 1st to teams being competitive year in and year out.
  4. I can't see this guy being part of our plans next season or beyond. He is 34 and is finally healthy for the first time in 7 seasons. He has to seize the moment. He is not going to be looking for a minor league contract. He will want a legit chance to crack a major league rotation. He will not get that in Boston with the glut of mediocre starters that we have. If he can't get a major league starting spot, I think he will go to Japan.
  5. The bullpen needs a top to bottom overhaul. You have said that you would prefer to get 2 top starters. That is the heart of the staff that needs to be filled. We have plenty of #4 and 5 types, but they are more filler than anything else. You say that we will keep Buch and you want them to keep Miley. Porcello is going nowhere because of his ridiculous contract. ER has earned a spot. What about Kelly? Some of these guys have to go or there will be no room for 2 new top starters. Which guys do you want to keep and which should go? We can't keep them all or there is no room for 2 new top starters.
  6. The team Ben left behind needs a complete pitching overhaul. He also left the wreckage of three last place teams. Other than that, good job, Ben! Kudos! We will give you a recommendation.
  7. Fair enough. You try not being such a homer and I will look for more positives.
  8. That is a good one. When the time comes, I will use that one. Cue the lol from Kimmi for your post and the eye roll at mine.
  9. You seemed to like "Mike the Ass" -- a name that another poster came up with, not me. You lol'd it. I just tried to agree with you and go along with the crowd, but even when I do that you criticize me. You should try a new act. I haven't criticized Hazen yet. I suspect that he will be a errand boy.
  10. ok. I will go with Mike the Ass
  11. The recent reports on Hanley just don't add up. Almost 2 weeks ago the reports were that he had been taking batting practice and swinging pain free for a week or 10 days driving balls out of the park regularly. In those same reports, it was stated that his shoulder was not causing him problems throwing. At that point, it was being reported that the last obstacle to him making his debut at first base was his comfort level defensively. Fast forward 10 days /2 weeks and he is shut down for the season due to his shoulder. How did he re-injure his shoulder while rehabbing? It doesn't add up, and reading between the lines he was healthy but reluctant to play first base and the Red Sox could not convince him, so they used the injured shoulder as an excuse and shut him down. He's gone. We just need to wait for an announcement.
  12. That was over your head?
  13. This move is for the birds.
  14. I will call him Mike Hazbeen.
  15. Hopefully the next news story involving these two is that one or both of them has been traded.
  16. there would be no tears from me.
  17. A new suit. Big whoop! Get me some pitching!
  18. a nice set ?
  19. Whether lineup protection is bunk is an irrelevant argument. What is relevant, is that if Hanley does not play first base next season, he will not be on the team. I don't see DD having another defensive experiment, so I think he is gone. That leaves a 40 year old Ortiz as the team's only HR threat. That will hurt run production imo. It takes too many singles to score runs consistently. We need another bopper.
  20. He could get caught in a numbers squeeze. Porcello's contract is too big to move and ER will get a rotation spot. I think they will add 2 quality top of the rotation pitchers. That leaves one spot up for grabs by Miley, Buchholz and Kelly. Unfortunately for Miley, he is the most tradeable of the three.
  21. so much for FIP.
  22. Hopefully, he can continue this performance next season. As for his 2015 season performance, ithas been a complete failure. He will finish the season with an ERA hovering around 5. In addition to Hanley's fielding, Porcello's performance was one of the biggest individual disappointments on the 2015 team and one of the biggest reasons for the team being in last place.
  23. Lol! Leaving the game mojo!
  24. Next pig! Oh Noe!
