  1. My argument was never that there would be or wouldn’t a cliff. My argument was that there was no reason that a team with the resources of the Red Sox SHOULD experience a cliff. Abbreviated 2020 was bad and I did think 2021 was going to look bad, so the cliff looked like it was here. However, Bloom proved me right in demonstrating that rebuilding could happen without a cliff.
  2. I was right in calling the possibility of a cliff a myth like Bigfoot. A team like the Red Sox should be able to rebuild while continuing to be competitive. Bloom has been able to achieve both. You are being too hard on Moon for being wrong.
  3. Okay whatever. Btw, I don’t read most of your posts— too wordy and extremely boring and often irrelevant. Just my opinion.
  4. Journeymen do have good stretches during their careers. They need to to stay in the bigs. Thank goodness Robles is having possibly the best stretch in his career at this moment. But he is not a good pitcher. At the beginning of his time in Boston when he was balking and causing problems with other teams, the WEEI game announcers declared that he had no place on the roster. Robles has temporarily proved them wrong too. This guy can turn into a complete pumpkin at a moments notice. I’d rather ride an inning longer with a starter and have Houck or Whitlock go 2 innings to cut Robles out of the BP rotation. That’s my opinion.
  5. I had already admitted that I was wrong about 2021 a long time ago. I wasn’t asking you the question to get an admission from you. It was honest curiosity to see if you think the cliff is yet to come and maybe 2021 is an aberration. Of course, you think that I am just trying to stick it to you. I should have known better than to try to engage you in a civil discussion. My bad.
  6. He has to be MVP. And Devers is the one -armed MVP
  7. Whitlock and the boys saved Cora’s bacon again— no horse hockey.
  8. Keirmaier has been killing us for years.
  9. The team will have to cover for Cora again.
  10. Never make the first or last out at 3B. What was Dugo doing?
  11. Renfroe is pressing AB and in the field.
  12. Franco finally makes a mistake.
  13. You are such a douchebag
  14. Heads up by Whitlock backing up 3rd. Most of our pitchers stand on the mound like they are waiting for a bus.
  15. Renfroe is throwing the ball all over the place.
  16. ERod was dealing. No walks and 2 hits through 5. He gives up an opposite field pop fly hit and he is out of the game. His pitch count was in the 60’s. I am speechless. It was ERod’s best game of the season imo.
  17. Renfroe has to throw that to 2B.
  18. ERod is penciled in for game 4. He tends to nibble against aggressive teams. If he does that with Tampa, we could need the pen very early and those guys have to be spent. Who can give us some length in game 4?
  19. Do you still think a “cliff” is inevitable? I don’t think you can call the bizarre COVID shortened 2020 a cliff, because that season should just be thrown out with it being nothing more than an extended tournament with opt outs for players. And let’s face it the Marlins made the playoffs in 2020, so it was a mockery of a season.
  20. ^ This is asinine but not surprising. Robles is a journeyman bum. But he has been in one of the best stretches of his undistinguished journeyman career. It has come at a great time for the Red Sox. That being said, I still get very nervous when he takes the mound in a big situation, because I have seen too many times where he has come into a game and given up a string of 3 or more XBHs. Accusing me of wanting the Red Sox to lose is Jack assery pure and simple. But it is coming from a Jack ass, so it is predictable.
  21. I don’t remember the incident with the note card. What happened?
  22. Comparing Sale to Robles and Davis? LOL!
  23. Sign stealing has been done for years, but the Astros took the cheating to another level —one that warranted a huge investigation.
