  1. 26 to 6 with the right answer, but 1 minute late. McCovey hit a bullett line drive to Richardson. As a followup, who was on Deck?
  2. In 1962, the Yankees won their last Championship before the Mantle/Ford/Maris team crumbled to the basement and oblivion for a few years. Who made the last out of that World Series and who caught the ball?
  3. One more question coming in 5 minutes.
  4. I wasn't sure about the Tony C part.
  5. I saw the game. lol!!
  6. Yaz made the catch on Tom Tresh and Tony C. caught the final out?
  7. Okay, if you can beat them at their own game, you are eligible.
  8. Your second choice was correct. Horace Clarke.
  9. His nickname was Hoss. Name him.
  10. All right. Another question in 5 minutes.
  11. That's cool. You got the disease. When I got my first job, the olt-timers were amazed that I knew trivia from the 40's and 50's.
  12. Ah, the YES Network, the great educational tool for Yankee history. I'll be back with some more tomorrow.
  13. JSInger you don't count. Aren't yopu a member of RSN? Sorry Pinstripe Pride, but Alexander the Great was a wee bit faster.
  14. Ding, ding, ding! Another winner! Alexander the Great, way to go! Did your dad or grandfather help you?
  15. Okay, since ARod's dad is a pretty tough customer, this question will be a followup about SuperChief, Allie Reynolds. He pitched a no-hitter against the Boston Red Sox. Who made the last out in that no hitter, what were the unusual circumstances of that last out?

  17. Okay, the last question for this evening coming in 5 minutes.
  18. Reynolds is correct! Congrats ARod2212! Your pop knows his stuff. and the answer came within 2 minutes. You have used one of your lifelines.
  19. His nickname was SuperChief. Name him.
  20. It is my opinion that several, no make that most, no make that all of the Yankee fans on these Boards who profess great knowledge of Yankee history really know very little about it. I will periodically post a Yankee trivia question. These question will be from different eras of Yankee history. I will not use electronic or other research aids in formulating these questions. These questions will come from my own feeble memory. Hopefully, I know the right answer. lol!!! I will issue a warning post to signal that a question will be coming in 5 minutes. After the question is posted, the correct answer must be given in 2 minutes to prevent any internet or other research to get the correct answer. If this time frame proves inadequately short or long, I will adjust it.
  21. Trick question I admit, but I am impressed with the attempt, 4 Reasons to Hate Us.
  22. No, there were 8 former Red Sox Champions. Waite Hoyte came from the Sox, but never planyed on a RS Champion.:thumbdown
  23. That would be lunacy. The only thing that could come from that would be to ruin the kids confidence and expose any weaknesses to other major league teams ruining his trade value. Let him come to camp for the first week, and send him down on the 15th after I leave Fla. lol!!
