  1. Boo Hoo. Poor Bronson, a #5 starter with a 3 year contract. He's crying all the way to the bank.
  2. Not realy, unless they trade Wells.
  3. His hometown is now Cincinnati.
  4. This kid has tremendous potential and tools. He's a big kid that can play all OF positions.
  5. That's fine for you. Different strokes...
  6. Papelbon may be most valuable as a late inning (6th, 7th or8th) especially if Riske, Seanez nad Taverez are ineffective.
  7. Screw the Yankee fans. They've got a lot of abuse coming their way. I will not personally attack any of them unless they personally attack me, but I will freely abuse their team.
  8. A spot will open for him one way or another. With the age in our rotation, someone is bound to go down. Arroyo has already taken himself out of the picture. Plus, they can't commit a rotation spot to Papelbon until they see how Foulke, Seanez, and Tavarez perform in the pen. There is absolutely no reason to force him into the rotation in April, when he would probably get very inconsistent work.
  9. Didn't you once lecture me that you never root against any of our guys in camp when I expressed my opinion that I wanted ex-yankee, ex-Devil Ray Flaherty to flop? What do you have against Juan Gone? That he is old? He has never played for the Yankees, and he used to be pretty good. If he can revive his career in Fenway, I would welcome it.
  10. R$eally, you have to let up. No one has to pass an entrance exam here. If we are going to exclude people, let's abuse Yankee fans until they leave or ban them altogether.
  11. You are a visionary. Let's hope that he has something left. I like this risk better than trading a starter like Clement for Craig Wilson-- that IMO would be a rip-off.
  12. RedSoxRooter or Bud Selig?
  13. I asked you to define post-padding after you had an entire post about birthday cakes, ice cream cones and crying kids. Figure it out.
  14. I'm not saying that ARod was the only star not to step up, but he is the biggest star on the US team, and he never steps up.
  15. All the blame does not go to ARod. Losing was a team effort, but anyone who has been annointed the greatest ballplayer in the game today should step it up in these situations and carry the team. ARod never steps it up when he is needed most. Papi on the other hand might be in a slump, but when he is needed he steps up and puts the team on his back.
  16. The US is out and that is a national disgrace. Thanks ARod for once again proving that you are a loser par excellence. Personally, I had little interest while the US was alive and none now that they have been eliminated.
  17. I noticed that Enrique Ex-Yankee was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles. What are his chances of making the roster if he keeps hitting (.368)? After all, he is an FOM -- Friend of Manny.
  18. Nice pitching line for Tanyon Sturtze today-- 1 inning, 4 runs, 3 hits, 1 walk. His ST ERA is 15. Is he still suffering from the tired shoulder syndrome, which has apparently had for his entire career. He is 36 + years old with a 5+ ERA. When is the Yankee brass going to wake up and realize that he truly is a Tampa Bay reject.
  19. Ksushi, Please define the term "post- padding."
  20. The Sox lineup regularly lit him up like a birthday cake in the last couple of years before he went to the Astros, so why would we fear him 2 years older? If he comes to the AL he'd want to skip the trips to Fenway unless he was pitching for the Sox.
  21. He has admitted that he doesn't know about these moves, so what is your point?
  22. Korea beat japan 2-1. US is still alive.
  23. 2-0 Korea is ahead going into Japan's half of the 9th.
  24. Papelbon had good command and stuff in first two innings of his last outing. In the third inning, he lost command and left some pitches right over the middle. Hansen has shown good command, poise and stuff on Friday. I didn't see his other outings.
  25. You are wasting my time.
