  1. I like Tina, the field reporter.
  2. His fielding has been outstanding.
  3. A PH would have been a good move for either Stern or Cora. Stern has looked completely over-matched.
  4. Let's hope Putz lives up to his name.
  5. Leadoff double. Get the pen up. It's the 6th. Let's see Tavarez.
  6. Someone send some miracle healing balm to Coco.
  7. Bard has impressed with the bat.
  8. I would get the pen up at the first sign of trouble from this point on. Three runs is enough. We don't need to get buried too deep.
  9. Go to the pen. Let's see what Jermaine can do.
  10. RF in Boston is very tough, but Youk made a web gem
  11. I'm in! Thanks Sox Fan Contest start date : 4/23/06 End Date : 4/30/06 Number of Red Sox Wins: 4 Total # Red Sox Runs Scored : 39
  12. Why is Lowell out of the game? He has been hitting very well.
  13. I like Van Buren. With all the talk about Papelbon and Lester, this guy has been more or less forgotten, but he has plus stuff and a funky hard to time motion. He is major league ready. He may not be in the long term plans, but if he impresses he would be excellent trade bait.
  14. I had heard the same thing, and I wasn't sure if it was right. I don't remember where I heard. Warren Spah immediately came to mind. I checked and he won 21 games each year for three years from 38 to 40 and then he won 23 games at age 43. That is a pretty awesome accomplishment. He won 363 games, but didn't win his first until age 25.
  15. And that worries me. Hopefully, he will not be able to bully Francona and Theo into taking the mound before he is ready like he did last year.
  16. Doesn't he still have incentives for number of starts etc.? I thought he had a relatively low annual guaranty of 2 - 2.5 million.
  17. Time to get Clemens or Dontrelle. What really bothers me about Well right now is that he will not be honest with the medical staff and management about when he is ready to pitch. He's gonna try to get back on the mound ASAP to earn his incentives. If he does that, we could see a few more starts like his last one.
  18. The Yankees should be thankful for KC.
  19. The problem with Wells is he is a selfish prick, so he won't do a rehab in the minors until he is ready. His contract is heavy on the incentives. Every start means a lot of money, so he will take the mound even though he is not ready. He did the same thing last year and blew two games because he wasn't ready. A win in either one of those and the Sox win the division. I am hoping he can still pitch, and he gets in a groove fast.
  20. As far as I was concerned, he never had to get another out after what his did in the 2004 ALCS and WS. Watching him struggle physically last year, it was clear how much he had sacrificed his body and possibly his career by pitching in the '04 post-season. Apparently, he has healed, and he has a lot left in his tank. He's a fierce competitor. When he's pushed up against the wall, he bears down and mows down the opponent. A prime example tonight was his swinging strikeout of Ichiro with the tying run on 3rd and 1 out.
  21. The left side just gobbles everything up and they give the first basemen throws to handle.
  22. How many 2-1 wins did they have last year.
  23. Moyer has over 200 wins. That's more than Schilling. He's not a bad pitcher. He's just a soft-tosser
  24. I hope Papelbon is a Mudder.
