    Colton Brewer should never be in the game in the 7t, 8th, or 9th inning unless we are up or trailing by 6 or more runs. He's awful. I don't know how he made the team. He didn't look impressive at Spring Training. I would have brought Mejia north with the team.

    There are a few good posters from that board and I am friends with or friendly with several of them, but a few of them came over here like they owned the place -- very overbearing. You can make a good guess at who they are.

    A highlight of the night was Darwinzon Hernandez's debut. He has a good fastball and an excellent slider with good poise. We will see more of him.

    Welcome!! We are getting lots of new members over the last couple of days. Let's hope that this influx is better than the BDC invasion that killed this place. ;)

    Maybe they sent him out to do some work with the coaches and the footwork was there. Let's face it, with the new wussie rule, second basement don't have to do a lot of acrobatics around the bag. If Vasquez, could handle it, I guess that they thought a real IFer could handle it. It was about getting a better bat in the lineup. He was just fine in the field.

    Not a panic move at all. They are trying to get a good bat into the lineup by shifting Chavis to 2B. He has played there in the minors recently. The Red Sox worked Mookie Betts bat into the lineup by shifting him to the OF. That wasn’t a panic move either. It worked out and they got a premo bat into the lineup. It would be great if this move works out and we can add a premium bat to our lineup.

    Maybe Cora didn’t want to get the kid’s hopes up, or maybe he wanted to motivate him to put in some extra work.

    i felt the same way about Lester when I saw him in Spring Training 2006. Cora said that Hernandez is likely to be a contributor to the big club during the season. Hopefully, if they bring him up, he is ready.
