Find a post where I have ever criticized the Yankees for destroying their farm system. I am on record in numerous posts praising Cashman for the Abreu robbery and the Craig Wilson deal. Red Sox fan on these boards got annoyed at me and told me to go root for the Yankees. Optimist, if you are going to take a shot, please know what you are talking about instead of just s***ing up the board.

I liked the trade when it happened, but after seeing Wiy Mo in 2006, I am concerned. If the Sox FO is looking at Drew, maybe they are concerned about him, or maybe they are thinking of moving Manny. It's got to be one or the other. If they are moving Manny, Drew cannot possibly replace him. If they move Manny, they need to get Soriano. Wily Mo is not as good a fielder as Manny, and please don't mention his offense in the same post with Manny's offense. Now, go slap your hands for typing this: We overlook things with Manny, because he's an insane hitter. Didn't he hit .600+ or something like that against the Yankees this year. He can take the best pitchers in the game deep, including Mo. When Wily Mo can do those things, he can sit on the OF grass and pick daisies.

I don't think Jaret Wright is a great pitcher, and I did n't think he would be staying with the Yankees in 2007. They dumped him and they got what they could for him. Bravo. Keep your false hopes alive. The rumor is too prominent. It would be too embarrassing for ESPN if they are wrong on this. Someone would have tipped ESPN off that the rumor was false. MLB doesn't want one of its major business partners to be embarrassed.

I wouldn't bench WMP in favor of Drew, but I would like to see Soriano in RF.
