  1. 57 each or total for the two of them?
  2. Reyes takes the Rocket deep and he hasn't had an Xtra base hit in 10 games. Off the upper deck.
  3. Youk couldn't run any slower if he injured himself, so it doesn't matter.
  4. When you load the bases with none out, you have to plate more than one run.
  5. No, but he didn't toss him for the argument. He tossed him for slamming his equipment down in front of the dugout.
  6. That split screen shot of the Ump and Ortiz show how the ump was spoiling for a fight.
  7. Umps triggers are too fast in general today. They are too confrontational. The ump should have walked away and dusted off the plate instead of eye-balling Papi all the way back to the dugout.
  8. It was notreally a big argument or scene caused by Ortiz. It's just a case of an egotistical umpire exerting his authority. The people that paid hundreds of dollars to go to the game just got robbed of seeing one of the games greats by an ump with a quick trigger. What an idiot!
  9. Who are they supposed to bring home. No one is getting on in front of them.
  10. Crisp was throwing that ball to him, but he's so inaccurate that he missed him. He also took a cutoff throw from Crisp earlier in the week.
  11. Offensive production like this at home is an eye-opener.
  12. Drew has been a good replacement for the offense we lost with Damon.
  13. Time for Drew to do something.
  14. The offense needs to get started.
  15. as you said there is a big area between long shot and top echelon. The FO is paid to figure out which guy in between will make it and which will be career minor leaguers. That's how good FO's make their money. They trade prospects that never make it for top players. Edit: I don't dis Ellsbury. I think he is a big talent, but he's probably not ready to step in and produce this season. That's why I'd consider a rent a player for the second half.
  16. The announcers gave some stat about him yesterday. I think it was career OBP. He was in the company of William, Gehrig and one other all-time great. He is an all time great hitter to be in such select company.
  17. The precipitously declining Helton with another RBI.
  18. Not a lot of range there by Pedroia.
