Sheffield always scares the hell out of me when he comes to bat. I am so glad that the Yankees gave him away.

PHing Bailey? This gives me bad flashbacks to 1978 when we had a big lead and another bag of puss named Bailey... Bob Bailey.

Needs to bring in Papelbon to get the K with one out and a man on third.

Jima going to work another inning.

Torre had to have Proctor (who else) get out of his jam.

He threw the ball all over the place tonight. He had no command at all, and he got hit hard when he came near the plate.

If the FO has hopes that lester can take them down the stretch, thaey had better get him up here soon to see if he can handle it before the deadline passes.

Other than Buehrle who the White Sox will most likely keep, which starters do you think will be available?
  12. a700hitter
He can still pitch well, and he shouldn't cost much in the way of prospects.

Reed Johnson, in his first game off the DL, just made a unbelievable catch against Victor Martinez in the 9th inning with two men on base and 1 out.

    Tomorrow Bonderman against Gabbardge.

He hits Quinlan to make it first and second. Joe takes Ramirez out of the game and brings in....you guessed it.. Proctor!

Ewar just gave up a bomb of a double to O Cab.

The Angels tied it in the 6th and the Yankees took the lead back in the bottom of the 6th 12-9. Soon it will be Proctor time.

What have I criticized the FO about in the last two months? There's nothing to criticize. They haven't made any moves. So, I don't know what you are talking about. I'm not criticizing them now either. I am just saying that I hope they realize that they need pitching help. That's criticism? I can't take you seriously if you think we should go another 4 weeks with Tavarez and Gabbard in the rotation with a bullpen that only has two reliable arms and it is down one of its secondary arms--Donnelly.

The Yankees have scored 9 runs, (really 10 but Cano never touched 3rd), but Pettitte got whacked all around the park giving up 7 runs in less than 6 innings. He's been awful lately.

A body? Last year we threw bodies out there like jason Johnson et. al. in the 4th and 5th slots, and we started doing that right around this time of the year. The FO deluded itself that it could get by until guys came back healthy. In August the wheels came off. We don't need bodies. We need professional pitchers.

I hope the FO is realizing that we need starting pitching help. Tavarez got torched tonight, and Gabbard matches up against Bonderman tomorrow in a total mismatch.
  23. a700hitter
Tavarez got two long outs. He'll be lucky to get out of this inning with only 2 runs.
  24. a700hitter
OCab just got a two out two run double to give the Angels the lead 3-2.

Iheard that Ortiz is sitting tonight.
