Dice K has no excuse about run support tonight. I think run support is a bogus excuse anyway. Great pitchers pitch to the score of the game. He seems to pitch well enough to lose many times.

WTF Lopez! Throw a strike. And he does and it's a 10-8 games. Crap!

and Stairs always swings from the heels.

They are doing their best to blow a 10-1 lead. Ridiculous!

We have to hope that he gets a second wind as the colloer weather comes in, because he has really looked tired lately.
  6. a700hitter
His ERA is up and his K's are down.

Dice K is wearing down. He's not being the horse we need him to be. For all the hype about all the throwing, he is not going deep in enough games.

    You like the Hughes-Washburn matchup?
  9. a700hitter
He should run away with the award.

Drew with another productive out... chasing 50 RBI. He's earning almost $300k per RBI.

Based on what he has shown so far, Ellsbury chould be a fixture in the leadoff spot next season

    Pedroia is sizzling.

They are the best 1-2 table setters that I have seen all year. Ellsbury gets better each day as his confidence grows.

I'd rather have Lowell for a shorter term and much cheaper option than ARod. Plus, Lowell apparently brings tremendous value with his clubhouse presence while ARod tends to be a divisive influence because of the jealousy factor. We could use the extra money to bolster the pitching or the OF. Getting rid of Drew might be a move to consider and it would cost a good deal of $.

I am strongly opposed to elder abuse, but that Gerbil Zimmer had that coming since 1978. I only wish it had been Spaceman Lee throwing him down.

Some here including myself wanted to see this long before Tito even tried it. So, it's not all hindsight. For some it's a validation.

And Lowell cleans off the table. He should have been the 5-Hole hitter all year. Tito dicked around too long with Drew and experimenting with Youk and others in that spot. Lowell should bat behind Ortiz and Manny without exception from here on out when all three are in the lineup. We should resign the guy for two years.

Ellsbury and Pedroia doing their jobs and setting the table, but Papi k's on 3 pitches.
  21. a700hitter
Oh goodie! I like the Moose.
  22. a700hitter
Moose did not help his cause today. I would think it would be unlikely for him to get back into the rotation unless the two rookies start to stink up the joint.
  23. a700hitter
He went 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits and 3 walks. He struck out 4 including his 3,000th k. Despite the 3 walks, he had very good command after missing so much time. He topped out each inning from 87-89. mph If he can throw in that range consistently, he will win consistently.
  24. a700hitter
Nah. I think it is the whinining prima dona's his ity bity pinky toe that is bothering him.

FAt Bastard sighting in the Yankee pen. Which fat tub is it?
