  1. At least JT took accountability for sucking.
  2. If the yankees land Texiera and Milwood at the deadline for some s*** prospects and we reacquire Chad Bradford and Reggie Sanders, I will throw out all of my electronic equipment and not subject myself to another season like last season. It's time for Theo and Co. to step up. After spending all this money two years in a row, not making the playoffs this year should cost him his job.
  3. It would be very refreshing to hear Tito say that "JT is spent. He's had nothing for the last month. I'd like to sit him down, but I have no one else." and instead of "yah the Royals have a very good bullpen" I'd rather hear, " we should be winning series against these teams at home. Losing this series is not acceptable."
  4. Do you hear this BS from Bob Ryan: "Do we take Tim Wakefield for granted?" Is it possible to take a .500 pitcher for granted?
  5. KC is a s*** team. It should have been good enough to take two of three.
  6. He should go with JT for 3 or 4 innings tops and back him up with Snyder for 3 or 4.
  7. The FO needs to get some help for this team and not sit on its hands. Thos of you who think this is a temporary slump are in denial. We have been mediocre for some time already, and now since Schilling has been taken from the rotation, they are approaching full stink mode.
  8. With Gabbard going on Saturday and Wakefield on Sunday? I wouldn't be making any bets.
  9. That part was tongue in cheek, but if Theo is such a genius at spotting value players like Ortiz, he had Pena right in front of him to observe.
  10. Ortiz is still the money. Every one else sucks as well as 3/5 ths of the rotation.
  11. 20/20 hindsight? There are several posts from me in the offseason and ST where I recommended selling high on Youk.
  12. Losing two to these clowns at home is just unacceptable. 9 runs last night and 6 runs tonight. Yea for our pitching!
  13. We could have traded Youk for pitching help over the winter and kept Carlos Pena. Theo's keen eye missed that one I guess.
  14. but the two are going in differnt directions.
  15. Jackson, you will have 20 minutes to submit your reply brief.
  16. Yes, the same Helton that is winning my bet, because his road OPS is .30 more than Youk's. The bet was that Helton would not do better than .20 rooad OPS above Youk. They are going in different directions those two players, but that should be expected. One of them is an all-time elite hitter. The other one is a nice player with limited skills.
  17. Yes, the same Helton who is in terrible decline. Yes, that Helton.
  18. Why would we ever consider trading him for Helton.:dunno:
  19. Youk flashing his turtle-like speed. Why throw strikes to manny.
  20. you could see this coming all night long.
  21. Also, we should not be losing one game to thes chumps at home, never mind two. That would be disgraceful. What is your cause for optimism?
