I watched the Red Sox for twice as long as you have been alive. The story of those Red Sox teams was poor pitching, bad fielding and no speed. They rarely made it to October, nevermind choke. When they made it to October every 1 or 2 decades they were always the underdog--- usually big underdogs. It's hard to choke when you are the underdog. The Yankees of the 21st century have made choking in October an annual event. In the list of choking Yankee teams, I left off the 2002 team. They were big favorites in 2002 against the Angels, but I didn't count that one because the Angels went on to win the World Series, and let's not forget the 7th game bottom of the 9th inning choke to the Diamondbacks.
