  1. I think it is more rare when you disagree with the stats than when you agree with me. My positions can often be supported with stats although I rarely get into the depth that you do.
  2. This could be a good showcase for JT. Is there anyone on Colorado who can help us this year or is the FO looking for a prospect?
  3. These two guy have been like this for 10 years already. I am pretty sure that it must be drugs or just plain and simple stupidity. I thought Tavarez was going to role the ball to first.
  4. Over the past 5 years, Mirabelli had averaged 10 passed balls. Before tonight Cash had 4, so he is on pace for a few more than 10, but less runners are taking second base uncontested, so I think he is at least a wash defensively.
  5. Pedroia with the good hustle to score.
  6. Another hit by Cash who was supposed to be an awful offensive player. I think that he is an upgrade over Mirabelli in all facets of the game.
  7. Tito goes to get him after the game is lying motionless and bleeding on the canvass. 5 runs was enough. He never should have let him come out to start the inning. He waited until the Twins had put us away.
  8. Did I hear right before that Cash is hitting .360? That's almost.200 pts higher than Mirabelli had hit over the last few years.
  9. We are back to the usual Wakefield torture. Last game was a rare gem.
  10. Matt Joyce with a HR off Rasner. It looks like Rasner has a penchant for giving up the long ball.
  11. I watched the Red Sox for twice as long as you have been alive. The story of those Red Sox teams was poor pitching, bad fielding and no speed. They rarely made it to October, nevermind choke. When they made it to October every 1 or 2 decades they were always the underdog--- usually big underdogs. It's hard to choke when you are the underdog. The Yankees of the 21st century have made choking in October an annual event. In the list of choking Yankee teams, I left off the 2002 team. They were big favorites in 2002 against the Angels, but I didn't count that one because the Angels went on to win the World Series, and let's not forget the 7th game bottom of the 9th inning choke to the Diamondbacks.
  12. I am really enjoying watching Yankee fans slip into ridiculous delusions.
  13. Can you be considered to have choked in a series when you came back from being down 2 games to 1 and 3 games to 2? But I will not argue the point although I disagree. That's one series. You guys have regularly been choking yourself out of the first round against inferior teams. 2007 Guardians, 2006Tigers, 2005 Angels. And the whole choke pattern was at its pinnacle in 2004 when you set the choke record.
  14. What post-season series have we choked away in recent memory or that you have ever witnessed?
  15. Yankee fans are seriously considering the merit of "rubber-armed" David Wells. OMG!! His arm is shot. All that is left is a rubber belly. Yankee fans are so desperate and it's still not the middle of May. lol!!!
  16. All they have is the past. They have no present. They are on a slow boat to nowhere this year. Their rookies are busts and gutless.
  17. Last year your team started slow because Wang missed April. Who will save your staff this year? "Oh my goodness, Roger Clemens is in George Steinbrenner's Bahx!!" ...or maybe Boomer. Wake up, Jackson. Do yourself a favor and plan to spend a lot of time at the beach this summer. It's the only chance you'll have of having any fun in 2008.
  18. It sucks when your team is a non-factor by May with no prospect of improving.
  19. I thought he was overthrowing tonight.
