  1. The bottom of the order today wouldn't scare any pitcher.
  2. Remy didn't sound optimistic about Ortiz's return.
  3. I don't think that I'd ever seen that play before on a steal. That's why I love this game. After watching for 40+ years, I will still see something new.
  4. They need Pedroia to get going to kick the offense into gear.
  5. Ellsbury's speed is an unbelievable weapon.
  6. Still no victory for Joba as a starter. He only gave up one run in 6 innings but he walked 4, gave up 6 hits and struck out only 2. I'm not blown away.
  7. Bourn with a terrible jump going to 3rd. Posada can throw 90 feet, but not with any zip.
  8. Bourn singles. He'll be off to the races.
  9. I can'y believe that that bag of garbage Chacon has held the Yankees to 1 run after 6 innings.
  10. Posada lobs another throw to 2nd.
  11. I was just about to post that.
  12. They are being careful with his hamstring.
  13. Posada has nothing left in his arm. Teams can run on him at will.
  14. The Red Sox offense will click into gear when Pedroia kicks into gear. He's the catalyst. As long as he struggles, the offense will be very inconsistent.
  15. He does have a hamstring problem, and he is more valuable in the lineup at half speed than on the bench or the DL.
  16. Wow, this is what has Yankee fans interested-- some draftee that is a novelty act. Pathetic.
  17. That and:"Jeter and Cano will heat up.". Personally, I think Jeter has started to decline in all aspects of his game. He'll be completely finished as a productive player in 2-3 years.
  18. But Offensively he has been better than Jeter to this point in the season.
  19. J.D. just stroked that like he was hitting off a tee. He made it look so easy that it would make you think anyone could do it. He has never realized his full potential. Could this finally be the year?
  20. I love the way Drew is playing right now. When he is going like this he makes it look so smooth and easy. There's no denying that he is supremely talented. That being said, everyone of us, even his biggest and most vocal supporters, hold our collective breath when he gets hit with a pitch, makes contact with the OF wall, or dives for a ball, because we know he is a bit fragile.
  21. Thanks Papelbon. Cue that Dirtywater
  22. It's forfeit time. The A's have brought in Alan Embree. Good night.
  23. Another DP. This one came with the bases juiced and one out in the 7th.
