Obviously it is a rarity for a guy hitting .220, but he did have a good night tonight, so there is no reason to crack on him tonight. If everyone had been on base 3 times they would be winning this game.
If they skip the 5th starter on the open date, he'd be on target to pitch the last game against the Yankees. With the Yankee luck, he'll miss the series.
There won't be too many games where is arteries are clear enough to pitch a game like he did tonight. This was a big missed opportunity for the Yankees.
