  1. Will Pedroia be back in the lineup tomorrow? Bay missed three games against the Rays last year when his wife had a baby?
  2. Maybe we can swing a deal for Nomah before tomorrow's game.
  3. He's middle of the lineup material.
  4. Of course not, he's an offensive force.
  5. Wow, the game goes fast when you have scrubs in your lineup and your opponent is a scrub team. I'll get an extra hour of sleep tonight.
  6. Coco should be banned from fenway. Didn't he go tonight? Didn't he say that he never sees them win?
  7. I vote to see more bush leaguers in tomorrow's lineup to give the A's a chance. Start Bates again at 1st, maybe Chip Ambres at 2nd and Josh Reddick can play LF to give Bay a rest.
  8. It's ridiculous to be losing to the A's at home. They should be rolling over the A's at Fenway. Injuries are no excuse. The lineup tonight was an embarrassment.
  9. No matter what uniform he wears, he still kills us. A few years ago when Kennedy was still with the Angels, I mentioned that I'd rather see Kendrick bat against us than Kennedy. Everyone when nuts telling me how much better Kendrick is than Kennedy. After all these years, Kennedy is still killing us at Fenway and kendrick is in the minors. You can't explain why but some players just seem to do well against certain teams.
  10. Tomorrow night Chip Ambres will be called up to play second base for Pedroia. He's not a nobody.
  11. After Pedroia was scratched from the lineup, we had managed to more than level the playing field for the A's.
  12. Only time will tell, but the A's are a lineup that can be dominated.
  13. Smoltz has been saying that he took extra time in his rehab, because he wanted to be able to dominate when he returned. From what I have seen in his three starts, I don't think he has the stuff to dominate.
  14. But having a major league bat at first base may help us win some of those games.
  15. Let's just hope that they don't drop a couple of games against teams they should beat handily. Playoff spots can be decided by one or two games.
  16. I don't understand why Youkilis is n't at first tonight with Lugo at SS and Green at 3rd. The kid should be watching from the bench.
  17. I realize that this can happen from time to time, but I hope we don't see this kid beyond tonight. I know you youngsters have a fascination with seeing the prospects, but I'd rather watch them at the Futures Game instead of at a Red Sox game.
  18. ... and you play the games?
  19. Elitist snob. Those guys probably know more about the game than you do. Just because they don't know the stats of every farm hand doesn't mean that you are a better or more knowledgeable fan.
  20. I'm talking about regular patrons that watch the game every night and scream at the TV. Those are good fans. They will not know who this kid is.
  21. He's closer to a cow-chipper than a blue-chipper. The organization should have allowed itself to get caught shorthanded like this. The A's are a bad team and the Sox should sweep them at home, but if you start throwing guys like this out there anything can happen.
  22. Go to a bar where they watch they game tonight. Ask the regulars if they have heard of him. The responses, or lack of responses, will tell you that he is a nobody.
