  1. More run prevention. That is not supposed to happen to the home team. I have been watching visiting LFers do that for 4 decades. The home team guys know that that ball comes back. Beckett is getting screwed.
  2. Our catchers are pathetic. I made a sandwich in the time it took Varitek to get the ball to second baseman.
  3. That was comical. There was a famous story about a Brooklyn pitcher that made an error on a groundball claiming he lost it in the sun.
  4. Scutaro is not very good. You beat the Rays by keeping Crawford off the bases. Scutaro has to make that play.
  5. You Drew hater
  6. That's true, but he's been pretty much of a bust without taking the posting fee into account.
  7. Only 5 entries... they may open it up to soccer fans.
  8. This just in: Cameron has caught the incurable Lazy-ass-itis from Baldelli, which will limit him to two games per week - 7 innings per game.
  9. 5 entries? Give them all shirts.
  10. Any word on Cameron's condition. I can't say that I am surprised that a 37 year old outfielder would break down. He's no longer an everyday player. I saw him it a gapper in ST that should have been an easy triple. As he approached second base, it looked like he was trying to kick it into a different gear but there was nothing there. He looked like his legs just didn't respond. He made the turn and stopped. He looked every bit of 37. Although, he can still go 2 bases at a pretty good clip. He's are only legit RH outfielder, which is pathetic. Without him, if he is out for an extended period, we will be very vulnerable to lefty pitching.
  11. For the amount invested, he has been a bust. There's no tiptoing around that. Was it foreseeable that he would not dominate over here? I think it was. If you remember, a big part of the legend that they kept repeating was about how many pitches he would throw. There was some championship series where he threw something like 200 + pitches in a couple of days. He was said to love to throw and that deep pitch count games were normal for him. These so-called legendary stories should have been warning signs. The first warning should have been that he had too many miles on his arm. He is not a big man or a particularly well-conditioned man. That first spring when I saw him I was struck by his small stature and soft conditioning. He had man boobs. The next warning sign should have been about his command. Rather than view his throwing so many pitches as a positive, the FO should have wondered why it would take so many pitches to get outs against vastly inferior hitters. The answer to this was obvious once he got to the US. His legendary command was not good at all. He walked too many batters and could not go deep into games. He never attacked the strike zone. All those pitches were not a good sign. Find me a guy that throws complete games against inferior competition using less than 90 pitches. Don't bring me a guy that needs 160 pitches to beat minor leaguers.
  12. The offense will score, but they will be inconsistent, because they need a combination of 3 hits and walks to score due to a lack of power and speed.
  13. I've heard about this bridge. What or who is on the other side? If they were counting on building a bridge to Westmoreland, they are going to have to change their plans.
  14. Oh well, next week is Earth Day. That gives me something to look forward to. It's the one day of the year when I urinate in public streets and parks.
  15. But you can't blame the FO.
  16. Schoenweiss is a piece of garbage. He was discarded by the Mets. That speaks volumes about the quality of our bullpen. Let's not forget that the back up plan is 80 year old Embree who has been discarded by more teams than a 50 year old groupie.
  17. We'd rather have fast guys who can't hit running into each other.
  18. I never do. I am the anti-Example.
  19. In the words of the Sox announcer: "slipshod defense." Run prevention was a farce to divert our attention that they let the team's biggest run producer walk away.
  20. Oh goodie, Schoenweiss is warming and ready to come in!
