The game is a blow out. They probably want to get some ice on his arm to keep down the swelling. Hermida's a pretty sturdy guy. He didn't get up wincing and crying like sissy-boy Ellsbury.

Not the #3B umps call and he made it anyway and got it wrong. There's a reason why the base ump doesn't have the call until it passes the base, because the HP ump has the better view!

Hermida is a sucky OFer, but we don't have anyone else. We are going to have to put up an electric fence in the OF like they use for dogs. If Beltre wanders too far into the OF, he'll get a shock.

Buchholz played that hit by Tejada like it was a hand grenade. J.D. showed some emotion on the foul ball he missed. After 3 + years, he's finally getting the passion of Red Sox baseball.

I don't know if they have any source for the story or if it is pure speculation, but it was in today's paper.

Today's Globe on-line floated the idea that Wakefield may not have a lot more opportunities. They apparently have this kid Dubront primed and ready to go. If that's what the FO has been thinking, Wake may have hastened that move with today's performance.

I couldn't watch the game due to work. I can't believe that the idiot third base coach is still getting guys thrown out at home and costing us wins. Weeks ago, after he cost us two wins, he should have been switched back to first base. Enough of that s***. This problem can be remedied very easily.
