  1. Yes, I'd like to see him, but I don't think he'll get a call up this year.
  2. A year or two ago, they could have gotten a player that mattered in return for MDC. They sold low. It proves the old Branch Rickey truism: it's better to trade a player a year too soon rather than a year too late.
  3. Is there anyone in the system who generates any excitement? Is there anyone who I would tune into see? Iam not aware of any. .
  4. f***ing Garza continues to eat our lunch. I am sick of that guy.
  5. If I was Drew, I would have gone for the catch, but what were you hoping as you saw the play developing?
  6. What did you think as it was happening? I have to admit that I was hoping Drew wouldn't get there.
  7. Sloppy stupid play early in the season to dig the hole Injuries in the middle part of the season to halt the drive to the top players didn't return from injuries in time to help for the final push No reinforcements at the trading deadline That's the story of our season A season if missed opportunities
  8. What is the book on the Drew catch? Should he have let it drop foul? Eck says he doesn't know what the book is on that. I wonder what Buch was thinking when Drew caught the ball? He can't say anything even if he disagreed with Drew catching it.
  9. Spud and I have seen this kind of s*** so many times over 40+ years that it is like water off a duck's back. It's no big deal to us anymore. Plus, the vodka helps.
  10. Tito had a Grady Little moment, but at least he had two championships on his resume before he had one of those moments.
  11. Chalk this up to the bullpen. It's been a parade of pigs to the mound all season long with the exception of Bard and Papelbon. That might have been the last truly meaningful game that they play this season.
  12. It's Scott Atchinson. He's an MLB reject that had to go to Japan to make a living. What do you expect.:dunno:
  13. ... and he's no Brian Fuentes.
  14. Nail in the coffin. Nice bullpen!!!
  15. I'm not thrilled with what we are bringing in from the pen at this point. Brian Fuentes could be very helpful here.
  16. Remdawg was singing his praises, and I never question the RemDawg.
  17. He's done very, very well for the Rays, and he has had past success.
  18. Qualls was a trading deadline pitcher. What did Tampa give up for him?
  19. I'm very superstitious in tie games. The good thing is you called him that name after he batted in the 9th.
  20. Please don't call him Eva. I was at two games when he got called Eva (and he heard it). In the one game he hit two tape measure HRs in his next two ABs. In the other game, in his next AB he hit one of the longest balls that I have seen. It hit the light stand while it was still rising.
  21. Both of you pipe down. Let's hope Longo doesn't end this.
  22. Bottom third of our order to bat in the 9th and Longo leading of the bottom of the 9th. I'm not liking how this is set up.
  23. I'm with you. No one had hit him hard all night. 108 pitches is not too many. I don't like bringing in the kid Dubront here. This scares me.
