  1. Come on. Everyone knows that I am a closet Yankee fan.
  2. It would only be fair for you to let Dipre use the Theo Blowup Doll for a while. You've had had it for 3 years.
  3. Isn't the right arm the one he needs to get extension with for his power stroke. Could this cause his power to be diminished?
  4. I don't like the last sentence at all.
  5. What is the problem with his shoulder? What kind of surgery did he have?
  6. What kind of shoulder surgery has Gonzalez had?
  7. I'm on board with that. I'm just thinking of other options if the Yanks get Crawford and Werth stays with the Phillies
  8. That's not a huge window of time to get this done. If this falls through, that would suck so bad.
  9. A big National League ballpark like CitiField could do wonders for Dice K's stat line. There are more direct flights from NY to Japan than from Boston.
  10. I'm not against Werth. I'd be very happy to get him. I'm just exploring other possibilities. Lee long term and a motivated switch hitting Beltran for one season might be a better possibility.
  11. Maybe some others will give you s***. I'm just batting around ideas. I'm starting to like Beltran from the Mets for one season and using the long term money for Lee. They could use Dice k (I hate that prima dona from the far east) to get Beltran.
  12. True. What about Beltran for one season? He's got all the tools plus he is a switch hitter.
  13. Is Werth worth $4-5 million more than Beltre per year?
  14. What a terrible defensive OF.
  15. I remember that, but he went out there with almost no preparation. Maybe beltre could play LF. He runs all the way out into LF to demolish the OFers.
  16. He said that he read about it somewhere. I don't know if it had been a consideration.
  17. A friend of mine had the following idea. At first, I thought it was crazy, but on second thought... Instead of getting Crawford or Werth, resign Beltre. The infield defense will stay awesome. Put youk in LF. He should be fine in Fenway. In some of the bigger left fields 9especially against left handed pitchers), Youk can DH and Cameron can play LF. That should be about 20-25 road games. What do you think?
  18. If he still has his bat speed, he'll be alright, and we can remind the others that they were ready to cut him 2 years ago.
  19. I am one of the few here that didn't doubt him. I watched him closely in the Spring Training and the early season, and I posted that he still had the best bat speed of anyone on the team other than Youkilis who has a very short stroke. His problem was timing and pitch recognition not a loss of bat speed.
  20. I was just going over the lineup and their individual stats. One thing that jumped out at me is that Ortiz and AGon's 2010 stats are very similar. We're thrilled to have AGon join the club for the next 6-8 years, but many of us are looking to cut Ortiz's throat on a year to year basis. For a guy that is in decline, he's still pretty damn good. In this lineup with shorter fences, he could have another really good year.
  21. AGon plays everyday. He doesn't miss a game. Drew has a call into him. He's going to set him straight that this playing every game stuff will make the other players look bad.
