    It's typical Yankee luck to face a team when it's big guns are DL'd. Hamilton is still out and now Nelson Cruz is out too.

    Yes, true. It's been a rough year. I guess that's why seeing a win at Fenway felt so good today. That, plus my daughter graduated from Northeastern on Friday with a degree in Chemical Engineering. My dad was would have been so proud. That was his field, and traditionally, it has not been a big field for women.

    It's the song and Papelbon milks the entrance to psyche himself up. I used to enjoy the entrance even more when it started out with Wild Thing and switched to Shipping Up to Boston when he reached the skin part of the IF. Have you seen in person Papelbon pitch at Fenway?

    I was at today's game and despite the rain delay and the damp cool weather that followed, the Sox played well and even though he did not get a save opportunity, I always enjoy Papelbon's entrance. It is the greatest entrance in Boston sports history. I guess my really good mood has me chuckling at things that I wouldn't otherwise chuckle at.

    A lot of money was spent to get Jenks and Wheeler. Both have sucked right of the box and now both are on the DL by May 7th.

    What was he pissed about? I said that the picture was a known fake and we mentioned that the real pictures will not be released. Those two facts got him pissed? Thank goodness he doesn't work as an editor for a newspaper.

    Wakefield is not pitching depth, except maybe to the extent he helps bury us in the standings. He had a great ride for a one-trick pony with limited talent. Time to cut him. This team can't afford to be throwing away more games.
