2 Hits a piece in this inning for Reddick and Salty.

Could Reddick be getting hot again? I hope so.

I think an apology is in order.

Mr. Glass has played for a couple of weeks, so he is probably injured.

Bomb by the tall adequate catcher.
-
Thank you Ron Washington. That's what happens when managers try to think.
-
Bedard continues to be s*** today. Lead off double to the catcher.
-
Terrible AB by Crawford. Just terrible.
-

Walks coming back to haunt Bedard.
-
That's as far as I have seen a bat thrown into the stands.

Great thinking Bedard. Walk two guys to start the inning in front of Hamilton.
-
He's not a better hitter than Crawford and it's not like he is hot right now.
-
Lead off walks are never good.

WTH is Lowrie batting ahead of Crawford?
-
Let's get it going in the 1st inning. Send Ellsbury here.

The OF will be an issue if we get to the WS. With Ortiz out of the lineup, we're screwed. There are other professional OF bats other than Beltran and Pence that could've been pursued. The Phillies have been coming up big at the Deadline the last several years. We can't use the excuse that many like to use when the Yankees eat our lunch-- that they have unlimited funds.
-
But we know that Ortiz can make the routine plays at 1B. We don't know if AGon can make those plays in RF.

I never understood why they didn't bring him up before the trading deadline to see what he could do. he had never been a hard thrower, but he had always been successful. You don't have to throw hard to be successful. See Freddie Garcia.
