I may have overstated things a bit. Lol! It's not like I'd be calling for him to get cut. It is important that he do well against the Yankees. He can'tr leave that task to Ortiz every night.

AGon has to start earning some Yankee killer stripes. Hitting 1 and change against the Yankees is not going to cut it. I don't care if he hits .350 against the rest of the league.

A while back I predicted that he'll be gone from the Yanks in a couple of years. After the 2013 season at the latest, he'll be the 4th OFer on another club. He's not even as good as Melky.

ARod with a bat in his hands wearing a blindfold scares me much more than Gardner. I'd rather see Gardner in the lineup against Lester instead of Andruw Jones. Gardner wouldn't make contact with Lester. Jones took him way deep the last game that he faced Lester. Not too many people take Lest deep like that.

Sure you can say that it didn't work out. It hasn't worked out, but you can't say that the GM did the wrong thing making the trade. He had every reason to think that Beltran would continue his production, and he would have but for the injury.
