    Be thankful that you are an optimist. I have been feeling this despair for more than 2 weeks.

    Maybe tonight Tito tells us that this will make the champagne taste even sweeter. If he says that, I'm done with baseball for 2011, because that will signal the end to me.

    This an unprecedented collapse. It is worse than anything that I have witnessed in 45 years of rooting for the Sox. For those of you who thought being a Sox fan before 2004 was tough, I can tell you that this will be the worst collapse ever, by far.

    It is very painful, but it finishes a distant 4th as the worse thing to happen in my life in 2011. They didn't want it bad enough.

    Enjoy your long off season, Sox. You didn't do what needed to be done. This series had nothing to do with s*** happening or bad luck. It had to do with playing like s*** and just being bad.

    If we can't win a game pitched by Beckett, there's not much hope.

    That reminds me when he got the ball through a drawn in infield to finish us in the playoffs a couple of years ago.

    For all the talk about bad luck, we can't really complain. Last night, we lost with our best on the mound, and tonight our best starter couldn't put them away. If we go down, there are no excuses. This was theirs to win.
