I could see him piggy-backing Aceves and Buchholz in a game with Buchholz coming out of the pen. I think Aceves would be the starter, not Buchholz. As for Lackey not making the post season roster, I don't think there is a chance of that unless he gets injured. I'd be willing to wager on that one. If they leave anyone of the post season roster, it should be Wakefield. He's completely useless at this point.

Today on WFAN, the morning hosts noted that it is just a matter of time for the Yanks to clinch, and all that remains for them is how they want to finish the season and what kind of impact they want to have on the wild card race. They are openly acknowledging that the Yanks may not fight the Rays too hard. I am still hopeful, but very worried. If they lose control of their destiny as this homestand concludes, the cockeyed optimists had better prepare for an ass-reaming, because it will end ugly.
