  1. The guy is a horse a security blanket for the team-- a bullpen saver. It drives me crazy that the Sox Big 3 get gassed by the 6th inning and 100 pitches.
  2. I didn't attempt to hand it back to you, enjoy wearing it.
  3. I did go off on a tangent, but it's not irrelevant. It illustrates that baseball likes the current configuration of a limited number of big market teams with a lot of small fish where the Big Market teams can continue to use their advantages. It's pretty accurate. The big teams put money in everyone's pocket with the licensing fees and revenue sharing etc. It is working perfectly well for them.
  4. If by getting it right you meant that you have proved that you are compulsive. Check to that.
  5. Yes and the big market teams bring in the great majority of this revenue and it gets shared evenly with everyone else. They are benefiting from the big market teams. The Nats had their beast season in 2011 and had a lot of good exciting players and they finished 14th out of 16 in attendance followed only by the Pirates and the Marlins-- two other big market teams.
  6. Oh, you are taking the D portion of the OCD much too seriously. In common parlance people don't use it in a diagnostic way, just as calling someone an ******* doesn't mean that they are that part of the human anatomy.
  7. I never accused you of being irrational just quirky. Boy, for someone with the Military in their Avatar and a rifle mentioned in his custom user title, you are very sensitive. I don't know why you take everything as a personal insult. What next, you'll accuse me of insulting you with my silence?
  8. This being in the wrong forum was bothersome to you, but you are not in the least OCD. Okay. A mod should probably move the thread, but I guess it didn't bother them.
  9. So you are saying that the Nats are a big market team. Because that was really the argument. Everything not in the top 10 is small comparatively. As I said, the Twins at #12 were under consideration to be eliminated through contraction in 2002. Has their market increased so materially since 2002? I don't think so. MLB is comprised of a few big dogs and a bunch of small fish. The Nats are still small fish, but making a bold effort to move out of that category.
  10. Minnesota is ranked at #12, but as recently as 2002 MLB considered contracting and eliminating the Twins franchise. That shows just how close the bottom 2 0 are bunched together with relation to market size and value.
  11. But yet you are compelled to repeatedly try to prove that some are wrong in this steaming pile.
  12. He got traded to the Guardians.
  13. That's why I am the King, and only a small percentage of my post have been bitter.
  14. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2012/02/yes_there_are_s.html Great!! Wakefield is on the short list.
