  1. You need to update your sig. Papelbon has 5 saves.
  2. There were so many other people to blame that I really didn't see much criticism of Ross. He's a very good role player.
  3. Are there Cody Ross haters?
  4. Very lucky. That ball was scorched.
  5. We have trouble hitting on the road, and the moron's lineup doesn't even give us a chance to have our elite guys bat in the same inning.
  6. We need to bludgeon teams. Close games don't bode well with our pen. it would be nice if we could bring Pedrio, AGon, Ortiz and Youk to bat in the same inning.
  7. Joe Mauer is such a great hitter.
  8. Bobby V's lineup splits up our big four once again! On the bright side, it looks like Salty might be getting into an adequate streak.
  9. Bobby V's lineup again ends up splitting up our elite 4 hitters.
  10. I think it is a dead on CF shot. Most ballparks shoot the CF angle from left center. I think this will give us a truer look at the inside-outside strikes and balls which you don't get on most broadcasts.
  11. Yes, it is true that we would still have a bunch of good veterans.
  12. In 2007, Ellsbury and Lester were bit players, role layers. Those Sox also had Manny, Ortiz, Drew, Lowell, Varitek, Schilling, and Timlin--- lots of veterans who were proven stars and winners. Kids are great if you have the veterans to show the way. Otherwise, you have the KC Royals.
  13. very young rosters make many rookie mistakes, perform inconsistently an don't usually play in the post season.
  14. Iglesias is OPS ing at .564. He still hasn't proved that he can hit at all.
  15. It is worth a shot. It's got to be better than doing nothing.
  16. They have to decide to make some adjustment to the pen. Waiting, will only result in losing more games in the standings and further depressing the morale of the team.
  17. It needs to fix the bullpen. Everything else should be in good shape. Fixing a bullpen should not require a very big financial commitment.
  18. On paper, the pitching matchups favor the Red Sox for this series, but our team doesn't hit well on the road and Mauer and Morneau seem to be getting back to where they were a couple of years ago. Plus, Willingham is tearing the cover off the ball.
  19. This is the key. Everything else will fall into place. They need to plug the bullpen hole before the ship takes on too much water. I don't know what they are waiting for? Bullpen arms are far more critical at this juncture than Marlon Byrd.
  20. You won all the hitting categories. I won all the pitching categories. LOL! We're very tightly bunched at the top of the standings.
  21. From Peter Abrahams. I completely agree with these sentiments. I left during the 8th inning. The loss was a foregone conclusion. I was not going to stay to watch the Yankees congratulate themselves and their fans gloat. I hate Sweet Caroline, but I really didn't want to hear that crap today.
