  1. I claimed nothing as fact, so I don't understand your response.
  2. I will be in Ft. Myers tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing Bradley.
  3. What Marlins asked for and whether there were any firm offers is a subject for pure conjecture. It's just a guess, and probably an inaccurate guess at that. The only thing that is certain is that the Jays got the deal done and picked up big talent on both sides of the ball.
  4. He's unemployed.
  5. Or Scott Rolen.
  6. It's meaningless tournament that disrupts spring training.
  7. It is not going to help the box office if he is on the shelf for a good part of the year.
  8. I think some people got overly optimistic about his outing against those college kids. It sounds like he is still badly twisted up.
  9. After 2 years of going year to year with Ortiz on 1 year contracts, Cherries gives the 36 year old a 2 year contract when he has a blown tire. It would have been prudent to wait until he was fully healed to drop the 2 year contract on him. I don't think any ther team was going to give him 2 years when he still had a bad wheel. Typical poor judgment by the Red Sox FO.
  10. Whether the Reds wanted to keep. Rolen or not is pretty much open to opinion. The fact is that it looks pretty certain that he is not going back, so that is at least some evidence that the Reds didn't want him. There have been various statements from the organization this off season that are subject to interpretation. Opinions regarding the reasons for Rolen staying or going are no more unfounded than opinions held by some here that Robbie Cano will be signing with the Dodgers. In that case, there are no statements to interpret by the Dodgers or any other team. Any such statements would constitute tampering. Anyone stating that they think he will be with the Dodgers is clearly "making it up". But wait it's just an opinion so BFD.
  11. Have fun. You are lucky that you have good seats at Hammond Stadium. Most of the seats there are steel benches that are like sitting in an oven if you are wearing shorts. They have good Brats at Hammond Stadium freshly grilled.
  12. I thought Lester had good rhythym and command. I liked what I saw. I thought De La Rosa fell a little short of all the hype that I have been reading about his radar readings. He looked good, but not dominant.
  13. We took turns smacking him around, but his act was getting old. Your timing was just about right. I get hysterical that he thinks he could get under my skin. My best friends hurl better rapid fire insults at each other when we play cards.
  14. When I read stories about Brock Holt and Steven Wright making contributions at the major league level this year I start picking up big signals that the 2013 team will stink.
  15. I guess you outsmarted them.
  16. Ya nothing... right?
  17. Impressive. Yet, you still don't have a driver's license.
  18. That's right. We've never impressed each other.
  19. and you see enough spreadsheets at work.
  20. They have a sandbox? Those things breed bacteria.
  21. Maybe so, but we couldn't have finished lower than last place, and we would have the #1 overall pick. Even Theo couldn't screw that up.
  22. Who are the other guys in the booth with Remy and Orsillo?
  23. That Todd Benzinger bore is still there.
