  1. If the pitch hits you in the strike zone, it's a strike. Dejesus looked kike his arm was over the plate.
  2. I think that they just wanted a guy to go to for a stolen base.
  3. Yes, I get to watch this one live and not on DVR! Go Sox!
  4. Here's a link to a news story on Olberman's mom getting plunked. Knoblauch got her. She was a Yankee fan. http://articles.latimes.com/2000/jun/20/sports/sp-42866
  5. I would think that he would embarrass the liberal media, because he is a bit more than a lunatic fringe type when it comes to politics. Maybe Pedro can give Olberman the Don Zimmer treatment in the studio. That would be great.
  6. I was at our Boston Office yesterday and one of my associates there is a season ticketholder and he can't go to the game today, because of a business function. The guy is so upset.
  7. Me too, but we are down a couple of people at work and I have a 4 pm meeting with my new boss. Normally, I would work from home on a big game day and take the afternoon off. This situation sucks. I am DVRing the game. Should I wait until I get home to watch it and not follow the score at work? I am more than a little addicted, so I don't know if I can wait.
  8. Olberman turns my stomach. How does that pompous ass windbag keep getting jobs? He's terribly boring. Do you remeber the time he was doing a network game, and his mom got hit in the stands with an errant throw? It think that it was a Yankees- Sox game > I could be wrong about that. What are the odds of the announcer's mother getting plunked in the stands.
  9. He is rumored to have wet himself before throwing the HR ball.
  10. The crackhead is 2 years overdue for getting fired.
  11. At least there is an acknowledgment of the fact that we are all full of s***. That's why it is so annoying when one full of s*** person insists that another full of s*** person's opinion is wrong. LOL!!
  12. Attendance is down by 400k in the 2 years since Theo took over. Draft picks take a few years to be ready.
  13. In 2012 and 2013 they have the second worst combined record in baseball. Only the Astros are worse. That's crossing over from rebuilding to total suck.
  14. He could rebuild his farm and put out a somewhat competitive team for the fans. He was running garbage out there like Darnell McDonald and Ryan Sweeney. They have the resources to do better thn garbage like that. They got rid of most of their big contacts before this season. Theo's problem is he is really not good at evaluating pitching talent.
  15. They are brutal to watch. There isn't a player on the team worth the price of admission. Castro the SS is a talented ballplayer who plays with his hea up his ass most of the time. The Astros had a worse record. They have a couple of young arms that are exciting to watch, but they are right there on the s*** scale with the Cubs. The Marlins lost more games than the Cubs, but they have some exciting young talent. Stanton alone is more talent than the entire Cubs organization. Jose Fernandez is better than anyone the Cubs have and the kid OFer Yellich looks to be a keeper too.
  16. I fixed your quote so it is accurate. I believe that almost every team had cheaters, but the Yankees also had a bunch of scumbags.
  17. I guess the thought is that he can go 2 innings in some game if the next day is a travel day. If the pitched him back to back days each for 2 innings that would probably not be good.
  18. Kemp is done for the year.
  19. 96 losses was the fourth worst record in baseball. I wonder how long of a leash Theo will get. Cherries proved one thing-- you don't need 3-5 years to turn around a franchise at the MLB level.
  20. I guess that last place following a 100 loss season was not part of Theo's 3-5 year plan.
  21. They will have to eat salary and still not get much in return. IMO, he's worth more as a depth option than what we would get in return.
  22. I'd prefer to play the Reds or the Braves. The Cards scare me because of Wainwright. The Dodgers scare me because of the two-headed monster at the top of their rotation-- Kershaw and Greinke. The Pirates are a sleeper. They seem unlikely, but if they get some confidence they could cause problems.
  23. On the Red Sox broadcast yesterday, they said that Farrell would not hesitate to go to Koji for 2 innings in the playoffs. I like that, because the 8th inning situation is probably the team's weakest link
  24. He would probably need to put up 200 innings next season to remove those flags.
  25. Bases loaded and 2 outs for the Jays.
