The 7th was just a terrible inning. The Freese AB turned around the game for the Cards. It was the key AB. it got Lackey' pitch count up and the next hit landed lackey on the bench. The first misplay was Salty not gunning the runner at 3rd on the double steal. The next bad execution was Breslow pitching to Descalso like he was the clean up hitter. Then Salty made another misplay on the throw home, followed by Breslow's misplay on the throw to 3rd. Three fielding misplays and 2 walks in an inning is a recipe for a terrible inning. -
Oooh, Schilling also predicted that the Sox would win the ALE... didn't he? I respect his opinion. Hopefully, Peavy and Buch come up big. Farrell needs to bench Salty. He's doing nothing. Drew needs to break out of this horrible slump. Also, as always when pedey hits, we win. If he gets hot, we could roll to the championship.

I'd rather have a healthy Bucholz pitching game 3 and if necessary a game 7. I am not comfortable with Peavey in that situation at all.

Farrell with the hook. I can't fault him. Lackey was brilliant. The Freese AB undid any chance of him going 8. A man in scoring position with less than 2 outs means Farrell is going to his guns in the pen.
