  1. It will be a little ridiculous if the Yankees start the season with the Starting centerfielder and shortstop from our championship team before we can even give them their rings.
  2. This is right up there with your all time stupidest posts. Has anyone posted anything close to that? So typical of you that you think you can read other people's minds and then criticize them for it. Miserable.
  3. f*** off UN. I wish other poster didn't quote you so I could avoid you altogether.
  4. Good news.
  5. You are a miserable human being.
  6. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/01/quick-hits-yankees-santana-white-sox-phillies.html
  7. LOL!! What restraint and deference to VA too.
  8. Why would any Red Sox fan want to remember anything about that horror show? It was the low point of my life as a Red Sox fan-- by far. Everything else pales in comparison. The only memorable aspect of that World Series is that I went to game 1 at Shea Stadium. I have been to 2 World Series games -- 1986 Game 1 and 2013 Game 6.
  9. Great point.
  10. I prefer calling them the Skankees
  11. Sounds great!
  12. We are enduring the frozen tundra in NY. I will be making the pilgrimage to Fort Myers for the 11th straight year. I am looking forward to seeing some of the new kids. How are things with you?
  13. I can understand him hating everyone listed, but his hateful obsession with Papelbon is ridiculous.
  14. It's slow. People are housebound in bad weather and all the big names are off the board so they are picking fights. In less than a month, pitchers and catchers report and the baseball talk will be in full swing.
  15. Boy, how did UN manage to get me involved in this? Maybe he is a bit obsessed with me, because I will not engage him and ignore his posts. He has nothing so useful to say that can overcome the s***-ton of nonsense that comes along with it. The cost benefit analysis of reading him is too far out of whack on the cost side. As for SS, he gets stuff off his chest and he often refuses to engage in a pissing contest with those who disagree with him. Good for him. He's not obligated to argue with anyone demanding that he support his opinion. He is immune to the compulsion that others have to prove people wrong. Those are the posters that bore ands annoy me, especially in the realm of opinion.
  16. Fair enough. It should only be used judiciously.
  17. LOL!! Fans are often emotional and don't make sense. I was just laughing that you were so confused trying to make sense of his statement that you resorted to the TalkSox version of the Race Card in politics. Let me just say tongue in cheek that as with the race card in politics, using the "he must be a Yankee fan" card for everything we don't understand cheapens the true meaning of the accusation.
  18. Many of those stories about the Mets being interested in a FA are plants to appease a very angry and diminishing fan base. I have learned from my contacts that work for the Mets that through the years many of those stories are not truthful. In many cases, the Mets have not even spoken with the players agent on the phone. I have learned to believe none of the rumors about the Mets. Their ownership has zero integrity.
  19. I have to laugh that when a poster doesn't fall in line with the conventional wisdom Red Sox Nation, posters jump to the conclusion that he must be a Yankee fan. It's like the people that put the tag "miracle" on everything they can't understand or explain. LOL!!
  20. I think that he has a 50/50 chance of getting to Spring Training and a 1 in 3 chance of getting through Spring Training and making the team. He is a real long shot for making an impact on the 2014 team.
  21. What about Roberts/Johnson 2B and Drew 3B?
  22. I am going to go with Roberts, because assuming that both are healthy, Roberts will be a starter.
  23. And there it is. LOL!
  24. Good points. The Red Sox had major roster changes going into 2013. The Yankees were not going to get better by standing pat. We didn't stand pat after 2012.
  25. No disagreement here.
