The Cleveland Plain Dealer is now reporting that the Devil Rays won the bid on Matsuzaka with a bid of $60+ million.
That would be one of the most shocking things in sports history
This should help the Sox bring in some more Japanese ball players.
http://japaneseballplayers.com/en/player.php?id=ksaito he looks like he could be a solid #2 or #3 pitcher in the MLB.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seung-Yeop_Lee I wouldnt mind taking this guy away from the Yankees. Hes a HR machine in Japan
and theres other like Kouji Uehara and Hirotoshi Ishii
Who would you like to see in RF opening Day?
1.) Drew
2.) Willy Mo
3.) Trot
4.) Other
I say Drew because he is great defensively and gives Manny the best protection in the lineup
That lineup offensively should be fine, with the rotation we have next year.
1. Youk
2. Pedroia/Crisp
3. Ortiz
4. Manny
5. Drew
6. Lowell
7. Varitek
8. Crisp/Pedroia
9. Gonzalez
I just dont think we need a SS who can hit in the top of the lineup at this time. I think some combination of Youk/Crisp/Pedroia should be fine for the 1-2 spots in the lineup. Defense and Pitching come before Hitting. Not to mention the fact that we save alot of money in Gonzo.
this is the Theo if been waiting to see again. Making bold moves like this one.
Theo has some cajones to bid $40+ million for Matsuzaka.
If True, this is friggen AWESOME
i think the C's are one big trade away from being a legit contender in the East. Id love to see Amare in a Celtics uniform.
Perk/Al, Delonte and a pick for Amare? I can dream
Jeter's fielding percentage=.975
Gonzo's fielding percentage=.985
not that it should be based all on fielding percentage, but I think Gonzalez clearly should have won
