  1. Earth to Kimmy......our pitching is NOT mediocre. It is totally s*****.
  2. And he'll be back on the bench the next game if Mastermind Farrell has anything to do with it, the stupid *******.
  3. And the team stinks along with the manager and General Manager who failed miserably to put together a team that could compete. Admittedly, I drank the Kool Aid and believed those two nincompoops when they said that starting rotation would be decent enough to win games. Call me a damn fool. Smiley Miley sucks big time, Miserable Masterson is a disaster waiting to happen, Buttshit Buccholz needs a cigarette and a blindfold while Porcello and Kelly are pretending the are top notch pitchers. We need at least TWO quality starters and Cherington, instead o waxing poetic about all the talent we have down on the farm, should be cobbling together possible trades to get r id of those "prospects" who are blocked by the bloated contracts we handed out to a hitter who can field, a hitter who can't move and a couple of pitchers who are good only for batting practice. Sorry my friends but this team really stinks.
  4. Sorry Kimmi but maybe you should be the one to keep track of that so it would sear you from pollyannish support for a manager who is not big enough for the job. The fact that he sat Holt down when he's our hottest hitter and responsible for our win Friday is absolutely off the wall. Yes, a lot of people helped lose that game but Farrell did nothing to help win it. Holt should have been in that lineup and Craig should not have been in the field in the tenth inning. PERIOD!!!!! Let's see if Brock will be in the lineup today. If so we have a decent chance of winning the game.
  5. Amazing Elk!!!! We still have people here who insists on giving Farrell a free pass on his moronic managing this season. Thank God it isn't this way elsewhere if you know what I mean.
  6. If Holt has played we most likely wouldn't have had to go into extra innings. Go ahead and praise Farrell.....that's your prerogative but he sucks as a manager. There was no excuse for sitting Brock down last night and not making those defensive changes late in the game.
  7. Every time I think of Farrell I can barely contain my utter rage at that moron. Craig should NOT have been in there because we needed decent defense that last inning and anyone would be better than Craig---who in my opinion anyway, does NOT want to be in Boston and never has. Get his ass out of town. As for Farrell, sit Napoli down tomorrow. After all he went three for four tonight and you did the same thing to Holt this evening.....with another disaster move you miserable puke. Well all we can hope for is that the team overcomes this imbecile and wins tomorrow despite having him in the dugout. And Farrell, you play Holt tomorrow, the next day, the day after that and so on.
  8. Help get Farrell an anal transplant-----for his head!!!!!
  9. I'm more concerned about our team coming off the rails Kimmi, especially when you have a moron like Farrell managing our team. Brock Holt is hitting over 400, got the game winning three run homer last night....AND HE IS ON THE BENCH TONIGHT?????? That is pure idiocy and we have that in Farrell and to me there is no excuse for such stupidity.
  10. You don't resign someone NO other team even wants.....hell, the Mets didn't want him. Plus, he had no Spring Training and was a total bust when he tried to his ML pitching when that miserable signing was made. I do agree that it was always the intention of the Red Sox to sign him but when they couldn't before the season they should have walked away and cut their losses. I think signing him had a very deleterious effect on Bogaerts as he fell through the cracks and was almost useless offense wise f or almost three months. And, if I may say, I never doubted they would sign Drew even though so many here told me to forget it, that Drew was history. He wasn't. We were the moment we signed him.
  11. But I say the talent IS there User and I'm convinced of it. You do have a point that I totally agree with.....He may not have the stamina to play for prolong periods. I think that had more to do with his fall down last season that being over-exposed. But let's see how this plays out, ok? I'm sold on Holt, you're not. Time will tell, and in the meantime as long as he is hitting the ball and we seem to play better when he is in the lineup, let him play.
  12. If your pitching stays healthy you're in the race for the AL East Title no matter what my whistling past the graveyard colleagues on this board wish and hope for. In the meantime our pitching isn't worth s*** at the moment and points to Cherington's stupidity is understanding that pitching wins, good solid pitching. You do not slug your way to a title---I know of no team that has ever done it this way, and is probably the reason Ben will be dumped as GM in a year or two and will wind up being Theo's Gofer again. If we fall down this year someone is going to have to fall on the sword and you can bet it won't be Lucchino.
  13. Not unreasonable at all.....and in my opinion we would have won the series if Brock had been in the lineup. Tell that to that dead ass managing our team.
  14. Panic move by the babbling Cherington. He's famous for those. Remember Drew last May? Remember Sizemore a month or so before that? Question answered.
  15. Players get typed by scouts and coaches and sometimes it sticks to them like glue and they have a helluva time overcoming that label. People here have fastened that to Holt and I entirely disagree totally and completely. He got tired last season, not over exposed and while so many of our players were s***ing the bed he had a first half that was beyond his ability...so I thought. Tonight you saw why he needs to be in the lineup. INTANGIBLES my friends. Anyone who has coached baseball knows that certain players have that something extra that make them go and make their team better. Holt is one of those players. Those of you who say he is a bench player can stick with that belief if you wish, but I am not buying it. He needs to be in that lineup somewhere every game he can play.
  16. That's the crux of this whole thing Ted. All of us have the right to plaster criticism on Farrell, the players, the GM and not have to worry about being attacked. As long as we don't attack a fellow poster it is none of anybody's f***ing business if I rip Farrell for his s***** use of personnel, or that Cherington royally screwed up putting this addled team together with enough holes to make Swiss cheese. You want to disagree with me and look like a fool and praise what can't be justified, fine....do it. And I won't attack you, but if I go after others not board members I don't expect to hear any ******** from anyone save for the fact that they disagree with me and that they think I'm wrong for this or that reason. Understood? If we all do that we will have a board where there is some real debate but the personal anger and hard feelings will be absent. By now you all know that I think Farrell is a stubborn and stupid manager who couldn't carry Showalter's or Girardi's jock, and that we have people on the team who should not be on it and that Farrell's use of personnel is totally horseshit. Two God damn games in a row we have played like s*** heelers and from what I'm seeing it may get worse before it gets better. I would make one suggestion....and it is only a suggestion. All my colleagues should cease telling everyone that t his or that team is f***ed....Right now we should see that our team is the one that might be f***ed and better to let sleeping dogs lay because the Gods of Fate don't like it when we run some other team down with curses and expletives while it is our team that is stinking things up right now. Good night all.
  17. NS, please keep in mind that Farrell is a stubborn f***ing idiot who managing the team is going to doom us to a miserable finish. Holt should be in the lineup. You and I and the smart ones know that. The pollyannas who think that Farrell is the smartest skipper in Christendom think otherwise but we are going to find out that his miserable managing in Toronto was no fluke. And all this hitting we're supposed to have. I'll tell you this....it is starting to look a lot like our hitting in 2014. We are really sucking in the offense department. Three freekin hits in ten innings? Give me a damn break.
  18. All I want is a win tonight. All of you out there keep the positive and good thoughts coming. We need to wash last night's choke-up out of our system. Please Clay, just pitch a gem tonight.
  19. Right mvp, but that was LAST week and I did issue a Mea Culpa. I have bent over backwards not to insult anyone even in retaliation for something said to me. Why remind me of something that should be well in the wind by now? My anger is not directed at you, User, Spud, 700 Hitter, iortiuz or Kimmi. It is frustration directed at a manager who doesn't know when to pull a tiring pitcher, a rotation made of paper men who can't gut it out more than five innings, a suppose vaunted hitting attack that is dead in the water, and players in the lineup who shouldn't even be in there and a couple who aren't that should. Last night's game was a miserable example of hitting, pitching, and managing.
  20. What about you? What's this about me looking for a pissing contest? Where the hell did you grab that one from. Who am I trying to have a pissing contest with? If you read the game thread from front to back you'd see there are a lot of posters who are very pissed off at what has been going down with our starting pitching and our lack of real hitting lately. I'm not looking for any pissing contest, just to remind you. I'm looking for a team that is supposed to hit like it was intended and for the pitching staff to grow some balls and help us win more than two games in a row. Capice?
  21. Thank you sir.....Sorry if I'm still a little gun shy over what went down with me and Kimmi last week. We settled that but, to be honest, I can't use that as an excuse. Last night' game really hammered me Spud. How the hell can a pitcher lose it so fast and why can't one of our starters go deep into a game once in awhile and why is Farrell so slow in seeing when a pitcher is losing it? I have only answer to all this.....win the game tonight and we can stop thinking about this kind of crap. Have a good day Spud and thanks for listening.
  22. Sad isn't it? While we're not hitting worth s*** right now.
  23. Disagree totally. Holt is a solid player who is underrated badly by a lot of people on this board who have blinders on. He can't play regularly, I keep hearing, but if that is so then we have many who can't either if we go by what they're hitting for the young season and what they've been hitting lately. Take a good look at those averages. Did anyone think Middlebrooks would be out gunning the Fat Panda at this point? Papi is hitting 205, Victorino somewhere in the 160's, Bogey has hit the skids of late, Pedey is trying to pull every f***ing pitch that comes his way, Ramirez blows hot and cold and Napoli may finally be making a move to help the team, I said maybe. I have NEVER underrated Holt. I was among his biggest fans last year and if given a full chance could be a solid all around player for us. Yes, that is my opinion. He has what scouts and coaches called intangibles that may not show up on some God damn spread sheet but it shows up on the field----heart, guts and balls, and when he plays the team does better. Right now we seem to have some real dead weight on the mound, in the field and in the dugout. This is when we must start doing those things that helps put together three and four game winning streaks, though with Buchholz going tonight I don't want to hold my breath. Any of you still bummed out from what happened last night? A good night's rest didn't help.
  24. Please cp1, can we just forget about Wright? Who in the Red Sox organization holds this guy in high esteem and keeps talking him up? Put a sock in that guy's mouth whoever he is. Wright is a dud. Yes, we need some pitching help from the farm but Wright is not the guy. That's my opinion, and Wright's performances seem to back that opinion up.
