That's their problem and yours if you chose to go that way. I'd rather be right and unpopular that popular and wrong-----and for the record I'd like to know what I've posted since I've come back that has been inaccurate. If they can't handle truth they should put me on ignore. My friends here (and I do have quite a few) like my honesty and forthrightness. It served me well in the classroom and on the ball fields for decades.

Yes he is----he has hit seven homers to Fatso's five for starters, and if I'm annoying put me on ignore and stop acting like a turd, You don' have to read anything I write unless you're a glutten for punishment. You got personal with me yesterday and now the gloves are off. And speaking of annoying there are people on board who think you're a bigger ******* that I am. Now put me on ignore and save yourself from being annoyed because I'm going to keep telling the way I believe it is. We still can't hit worth s***.

You watch our team at the plate from one inning to another and you wonder why they cannot maintain any kind of offense and you notice they seem to have soft contact when they do. Very few balls hit hard, and the curse that we simply lack the ability to come from behind if we're down by more than one run. I can't figure it out. Something is very wrong, either physically or mentally with our offense. If you guys out there have some insight please pass it along. It is puzzling to say the least.

Looks like Porcy is reverting back to his ineffective self as Minn is starting to hammer the s*** out of him......getting to be an old story now. Let's see if this time we can come from behind because we're going to have to do that if we want to win. We haven't been too good at that this year. Now we have to change course on that.

6/3 Twins @ Boston (Game 1 of Twinbill)

That kind of pissed me off when I scrolled back and saw what some said I lurked on last month a couple of times. ER is NOT Billy Rohr. We may have something special here. Remember, Baltimore was in a pennant fight last season and needed a kick ass reliever like Andrew Miller. They had to give something decent up and this time we may have picked the right guy to get. Please let's not look a possible gift horse in the mouth. -

We may have something special here Station. ER looks like a real gem and we can sure us some solid pitching, but notice today we hit the ball well.....at least many of the guys did. Now we just have to start doing this on a consistent basis and not like we did in those two Texas series where we looked impressive the first game of each and died 1000 deaths in the remaining games. This time it could be different. -

Fred approves just fine young man. I always approve when we win and play good baseball and don't the s*** bed as we did in the Texas series...and the Yankee series....and, well you get it. -

Thanks Spud. He's right about our playing crappy but I have real doubts that we have the right people at the GM spot and in the manager's dugout to get the job done, but he stupidly gave the both extensions for last place finishes last season so go figure. In other words he really didn't say much of anything except telling everyone the team was playing like s***. He didn't have to have a news conference to tell writers and the media something they and us already knew. But at least Prune Face came out of hiding. -
You all must have had an enjoyable time commiserating about all those losses and how s***** the team was playing. If that's your idea of enjoyment I'll pass. Time for some realism around here and maybe about ten more victories this month than last. Now that would be enjoyment.

What did he actually say Ted? Did he show some life and finally come clean about our problems? -

Happy with the win Spud. Clay was great tonight and as I said in another post it would have been a crime to let him off without him getting a win. However, and here we go again, one game is only one game. We need to come back tomorrow and win a DH, pure and simple--sweep them as they did us in their ballpark. Nothing official just my take on things. -

Gomes and NB, great job by Clay tonight and a nice win. However, can we all temper our enthusiasm just a shade until we see what develops tomorrow. We haven't won three games in a row since early April and now we've had trouble winning two straight. This is a series where we really do need to turn the hat trick the way Minnesota did to us in their backyard.. And we have to start hitting a helluva lot better than we have. It would have been criminal in a whole season of criminal acts if we would have failed Buchholz tonight. Tomorrow is the key. We need to pitch, hit, field and WIN---not do what we did in Texas. -

Stick it in your diddy bag lady.....Honest????? You're problem is that you cannot accept a unfavorable truth. Nothing I posted today was false or dishonest or a lie. You just don't like what I post but that's not going to change.....and we were supposed to have reached an understanding on this board months ago that posters are not to be personally attacked but players and front office personnel were fair game. I attacked no one today and was attacked. When that happens I will retaliate in kind and in the nastiest way possible. Another thing, and call if Common Sense 101. You don't like what iortiz, 700 hitter or I post, you put us on ignore. Simple as that unless you're a glutten for punishment and enjoy making yourself miserable. Now buzz off and don't bother bearding the lion in his den. -
Yes, and I heard from friends here about your smart aleck remark about how things were so much better without me around. How much better is hard to fathom with the team playing like horseshit all last month. If that's your take about things being better you need a wake up call. The team is playing s***** ball and is in last place and that's no call for soft peddling anything. hard truths and straight from the shoulder dialogue is needed and that's what I will give no matter whether you or anyone else likes it or not. Here's one for you. ......we start winning some f***ing games for a change and in bunches you might be surprised how much better things will be around here. And for the record, I did lurk from time to time and on those game threads it didn't look like a lot of people were having fun. There were some people very pissed off and you should have been one of them. If you were good for you, if not, shame on your ass.

Perhaps Ted---and that would be swell but we have to get Hanley out of left field and platoon him with Ortiz at DH. One can't field and the other can't hit lefties at the present time and may finally be showing his age. Also Fatso needs to start earning the money we're paying him and being put on the scale weekly so that he doesn't add another five pounds to his borky frame. I hope you're right though. You mostly are about such things. Be right this time. -

Just took a month off this board to get my bearings and hope against hope things would not be as dismal when I returned as they after two previous hiatuses in '12 and last year. Alas, things are worse. As hopeful as I would like to be Israel this team is going nowhere under present leadership. We have a weak and failing manager who cannot crack any kind of whip and a totally incomepetent GM who built another pig of a team and fooled me in the process. Both have got to go because our team will not recover until their dead asses are out of Boston. But we can pray for a win tonight. -

WE??? You appointed no one because you haven't the power to do anything remotely resembling t hat. My furlough was over when I said it was and it was a month. Besides, we need a couple more people around here not trying to Pollyanna a sinking ship. The team stinks Kimmi---you can deny that until the cows come home and that it your right as a poster. And it is my right to tell it as I see it.......we're in last place, our pitching stinks, we can't hit worth s***, Hanley is more of a liability with his minus 0.5 WAR than an asset even with his 12 home runs and never should don a glove again because he is a defensive disaster. And here's a thought. How about Buchholz pitch a clean first inning for a change and not fall behind and maybe the team can give him a lead which he may finally hold, and no more kernels of optimism from Farrell after another disastrous loss. They're getting tedious coming from him game after game. And how about the press? Notice Shaughnessy, Wilbuur, Buckley, Mnihane and other really ripping into the team? It certainly isn't because they're doing well. But fine and dandy, live in your dream world where everything is just copasetic. -

Maybe small increments at the start Spud. This crap about not weighing Fatso Sandoval when he signed should be junked forthwith. He has gained weight and looks like a whale out there, and he isn't hitting well either and not at all from the right side. Get a scale and put the blubber belly on it. Secondly, do NOT give Hanley a glove again. Platoon him with Ortiz at DH. Diva can't hit lefties this year and Hanley cannot play the outfield. All that money we're paying him you say just to DH? Tough s***!!!! The FO signed him knowing he was both a defensive liability and a cancer in the clubhouse, not to mention that he had a tendency to loaf. Release Disasterson BEFORE they bring him back up to try and get some pay pack for the worthless nine million they signed him for. Give Swihart the bulk of the catching duties and stop sending Leon out there every second or third day. He is a mediocrity at best and has no future in the Red Sox organization. If Fatso doesn't lose weight bench his ass until he does, keep Hanley off the field, and get rid of Cherington and Farrell. I don't give a s*** if Prune Face gave them an extension last winter......an extension for finishing dead last? Now that has to be a first for a supposed contending team expected to vie for a WS berth. That at least is a start and it must be undertaken or you will say this season is lost soon enough Spud just as announced that was over somewhere else. -

Glad you noticed Israel and Ted. I attacked the team, he attacked me. Well until the team gets its head out of its ass I will continue to keep attacking a team that absolutely stinks right now, and goes for the front office, manager, GM and ownership. You know guys, we do have some posters here who simply cannot accept a truth they find inconvenient or unpopular with them. That's the way it is for them....They call it negativity, we call it realism. He (they) could put us on ignore but they have trouble understanding Class 101--Ignore. They'd rather make themselves miserable by reading things they don't like rather than just ignoring it so they wouldn't have to subject themselves to things that they don't like---whether what they're subjecting themselves to truth or not. Sure, I took a month off and said at the rate we were going on May 2 it would be worse in a month and not better. I wasn't hoping that but those of us who are alive and not buried with our heads in the sand could see which way the tea leaves were being read. I wish it could be different but this is 2012 and 2014 all over again unless some things are done and fast.
