    the sox might just think glaus is not woth one of their sp's that they can use as trade bait, since they can play youk at first, or marte at third with lowell at first where as we have nobody to play at cf and ss so the two sps that we trade should be used to get a cf and a ss

    2b contains the worst players in all of baseball, hudson is a decent ballplayer-making him one of the best 2b in mlb plus, theyre including miguel batista, who can start or close, and was nasty when he was last in the nl (used to play for dbacks)

    my dad just heard a rumor on the radio that we could be sending wells to sd (which will obviously happen), with sd sending prospects to tb, and tb sending lugo to us i would absolutely love this trade, and it makes sense for all involved

    i personally am coocoo for coco crisp this guy had an obp and ops very similar to jd's last yr and hes 6 yrs younger however, i would not give up marte in the deal i would def give up arroyo or clement(preferably), and maybe a prospect(depending on which one) i saw on espnnews a seattle news reporter saying that reed is very slow breaking on the ball, and doesnt get to many fly balls (which is the reason he makes so many highlight reel plays)

    so, the sox were bs'ing us when they said damon was number one priority they offered him forty for four and that was that bs we just lost the best leadoff hitter in the game and to top it off, the yanks gained the best leadoff hitter in the game this is not good the yanks just snached power of the al east

    i really see manny staying put now, to be quite honest they should hold a lil meeting with him, hire him a consultant to help him keep private anything cuz were not getting anything for him

    the cards lost out on aj burnett so they then set their sights on matt morris now theyve lost out on him (to the giants) so, will they try to sign kevin millwood, or will they make a trade if they are looking for a trade clement could be a good fit for them, they know him well (same division when he was in a cubbies uni) so they might really like him or really dislike him would they be interested in a deal involving david eckstein? or maybe a three team trade could be worked out

    what would it take to get him in a sox uni? would we hafta trade manny? would they take manny? could we trade clement and prospects for him? id love to see him in a sox uni, and even more, id love to also keep manny, although i know i cant have my cake and eat it too id be willing to do a trot and clement deal my dream lineup right now: 1b: lowell 2b: loretta ss: tejada 3b: marte lf: manny cf: johnny rf: trot c: tek dh: papi 1-johnny 2-loretta 3-papi 4-manny 5-tejada 6-trot 7-tek 8-marte 9-lowell

    i was really starting to like the trade until i saw this so in other words we will be payin about 4 mill a yr for the next three yrs to not have rent i hated the renteria addition last offseason, i knew it was a mistake to give him four yrs of 10 per, but now we have to pay almost half of it to not have him, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth if we get alex gonzalez for five mil per, wed be essentially paying 9 mil to have him at ss, thats not good i do like the addition of this marte kid though, sounds like he could be a great hitter, and hes only 22, i think they should ask lowell to move to first and have this kid the third baseman

    will this trade have anything to do with the sox? are the padres getting cameron to ship to us as part of a wells deal? are the mets getting nady to ship to us as part of a manny deal?

    i actually had all your thoughts today except i was also thinking about the possible trade for glaus goin through and did not include bj ryan as you did but everything else i honestly think could happen but we would have to act fast, cuz giles will get gobbled up, and if we lose manny, WE MUST get giles also, i dont see us gettin farnsworth for three mill, id say about 4.5 mill

    do we really want to resign timlin for three mill we need to have depth in the bullpen not just two guys who make a lot of money one of them having knee probs the other, allowing every inherited runner possible to score

    didnt we get the short end last yr too? nine home games vs ten against the yanks hm anyway, cool to see the sox are playin at home vs yanks on my bday, they usually play oak or tex hopefully pedro is pitching one of those games, that would be crazy
