  1. Yeah, i remember that quote the sim league is still there too, the OOTP site and everything
  2. Yeah, thats a non-issue at all.
  3. He doesn't have the average or obo for it
  4. That would give us a pretty deep lineup power-wise 1) Loretta, 2b 2) Nixon, rf 3) Ortiz, dh 4) Tejada, ss 5) Huff, lf 6) Lowell, 3b 7) Varitek, c 8) Youkilis, 1b 9) Gathright, cf
  5. I'm not even sure if I'd want Baldelli over Marte, just doesn't blow me away. He's somehwat of a liability in CF, considering he doesn't know when to back off and just let it bounce. However if we got Huff, Tejada, and Gathright I would be happy, especially if we can keep Marte and just give up Clement and Manny. Sox get: Huff, Tejada, Gathright Sox send: Ramirez, Clement Mets get: Ramirez, Baez Mets send: Seo, Hielman, Matsui, Benson Devil Rays get: Hielman, Seo, Matsui Devil Rays send: Huff, Gathright, Lugo Orioles get: Benson, Clement, Lugo Orioles send: Tejada
  6. I'm not sure that he's that bad, they do have a log-jam of OFs in TB but I agree they overrate him. What I like in him is that he can hit .280 for you, hit a few dingers, but aloso get on base with his speed and can steal a base almost on demand. If he can focus on OBP instead of AVG then he could be vauable to us in the sense that he can provide RBI chances for Papi who can hit those singles to RF.
  7. This is not to say that the Yankees can't change all this with a fw good drafts, such as the Sox did with Theo. We have drafted our top spects in the past 3 drafts, it's just that George drafts for the minor league levels not the Majors.
  8. Yeah, I'd love to see him in fenway, but it all depends on how much we give up.
  9. Yea, get his ass in there
  10. Yeah, but if that were to happen then theyd be getting one of the best young talents in the game.
  11. That deal basically seems like what we wouldn't want to do. It's baiscally Manny for Tejada (wash) and Marte for Gathright (Marte's mucho better) which doesn't make sense to me.
  12. Also it makse no sense for us to acquire him, I really hope that the FO isn't trying to get superstars just to please the unenlightened portion of RSN.
  13. Yeah, I highly doubt the O's would go for this instead of Clement and Manny, Benson is a serious downgrade from that. However, if it's the Mets that are sending the prospects I'm all for it. Manny in the NL, Tejada in Boston. However I'm thinkin maybe Milledge thats goin to Baltimore unless the O's are mental.
  14. Yeah, there's got to be a reason why he's still on the market this long, unless he was still waiting for offers.
  15. Yeah, it makes no sense to even inquire about Soriano, because you know that the Nats qill ask for pitching, as they already have.
  16. Idk, I thought it was pretty accurate analogy
  17. Considering it's the Devil Rays they dealt with, it's a pretty good deal for an above average reliever. They definatley got them selves at least 20 games above last year with a new re-vamped bullpen, added with Delgado.
  18. I like Tejada for a few reasons. He of course is known for being a rugged, dirt dog who can play 162 games a year. However I'm worried that he is not as defensively sound as I thought. In fact he's made 20+ errors almost every eyar of his career and in the last 3 consecutive seasons. If it's not what I thought I'd love to be proven wrong because that's all I really see wrong with him, and that's only a minor thing.
  19. Agreed,, not even the prospects you traded away were that good, Halsey and Navarro both haven't done s*** yet.
  20. Isn't Capers gettin fired from the Texans?
  21. I wouldv'e rather have signe dhim over Huckaby or Flaherty, he's young and a bit of an upgrade over those two offensively, however I doubt he's ever seen a knuckleball.
  22. Yeah another young spect who, whenever he plays a majority of the season, has hit .280 and .303 I think. He would be a good interim CF and lead-off hitter while we ait about another season for Ellsbury. I like him a lot and if we get him, he does good, but Ellsbury comes along good, I have no probvlem replacing Nixon with him in RF.
  23. Toronto seems to be a bit drunk with power in that article, Aaron Hill? Better than Loretta? He hardly beats out Cora. Also Lowell, if he performs as he should could easily beat out Glaus offensively and defensively.
  24. Lol, what would we do with him, I doubt he would like to be a back up
