  2. I love Cairo!! He's so adorable and he's reliable. This makes my day.
  3. haha yeah I saw it too. I'm guessing you are talking over the internet?
  4. No, keep 'em comin. Like I said, I enjoy them. I don't think I'll forget now that Lyle came out to Pomp and Circumstance. I wasn't trying to provoke you, and it was poor judgement on my part to post it after the comments He Hate Me posted, and for that I apologize. I was just re-reading the thread from the beginning to see if I missed any questions, and that first sentence didn't really sit well with me, that's all.
  5. lol oh I thought you meant on sonsofsamhorn.com Howd it go, what was he like, gimme details, please!!
  6. Chances are, the people who stay around on this site know a thing or two about baseball. I think it's pretty condescending to assume that if someone doesn't know something as obscure as what song Lyle liked then they don't know about their team. Don't get me wrong, the questions are interesting and I'm learning new things, I just don't think these Q&A's should be the barometer as to which Yankee fans are knowledgeable and which aren't. Not trying to start anything!! Just putting that out there because your statement was a bit generalized.
  7. and I just talked to Schilling
  8. I didn't hear Damon but I heard Varitek, who has some strange accent or something weird goin on with his speech.
  9. lol no i wasn't being serious, he was just the first thing that popped into my head
  10. I was teaching myself about random Yankee World Series teams and Cepeda's name stuck because his first name is Orlando, reminding me of OCab from 2004.
  11. Well my mom has a book named Old Hoss but he's from Boston so I don't think I have the right one.
  12. It's all good in the hood
  13. They covered that on YES Network's Yankeeography: Perfect Games and No Hitters
  14. Ted Williams, Yogi missed the first foul ball, caught it the second time.
  15. He was quite the party pooper at games. Towards the end of the season, the Yanks have a deal where you can buy 5 tickets in the upper tier for 25 bucks, so of course, my and my friend bought several tickets to like, about 10 games in late September. Anyway, all my tickets were in the same area, the area where the Ultimate Road Trippers were. I was star stuck at first, struck up conversations and found out he lives in a town near my old town, but then at like the third game everyone, and I mean everyone, in the ballpark did the wave continuously, and it was really, really cool. Of course, I look up and Dave is telling everyone to sit down and ruining the fun. He got really trashed at all the games. Must have been super sick of it by then I guess.
  16. In my opinion, the 2001 loss was much worse than the 2004 one. It's not like you guys got rid of your curse by beating the Yankees, you did it by beating the Cards. The stakes weren't as high, either. RSN called out the Yankees because you guys said you wanted to beat the Yankees to make victory sweet. I don't think I've ever heard a Yankee player or fan calling out the Red Sox because it would make victory that much better.
  17. Not sure how relevant this is but it's not worth creating another thread, just a little tid bit. And sorry in advance if it was already mentioned. How credible this is I dont know, especially considering it came from The Post
  18. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5192008
