  1. It was only a matter of time before A-Rod comitted an error behind Mussina. I count 4 now that I remember: 1. VS Detroit. He blew the complete game shutout for Mussina 2. VS Toronto. Mussina was rolling and A-Rod throws the ball away trying to get the out at home. 3. VS Chicago. On what should have been a routine DP he throws it into RF. 4. Tonight
  2. Bedard looks unhittable tonight. That 1 run looks like 10 runs right now.
  3. Mussina said in spring training that he knows the Yankees wont pick up his option because the market has changed. He signed that contract in a time where contracts were on the rise. Hes going to be 38? No one is giving him 17 million. Hes will prob get a 10-12 million dollar contract. Hey, if he out prices himself I'll gladly take the draft picks and move on with someone like Jason Schmidt.
  4. Thats not really true. Mussina's 17 million dollar contract is coming off the books. Even if they re-sign him it will be at a reduced contract. Also Jaret Wright will get his contract bought out and they also lose Cory Lidle's 3 million and Craig Wilson's 3 million. The Yankees will have some money to spend.
  5. I see you guys are tossing names around like Oswalt and Peavy. What are you guys giving up for them?
  6. Its about time Kennedy signed: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/baseball/mlb/08/14/yankees.kennedy/index.html
  7. Nope, the fact that he still has a ML job reflects the state of Red Sox pitching.
  8. and my point remains....having Jason Johnson as your 5th starter says alot about your roation no?
  9. Considering hes only our 5th starter I'd say it says alot about your roation no?
  10. Its not even the last 2 starts. RJ has admitted that throwing 129 pitches against the M's set him back (Kinda like Schilling against the Guardians earlier in the year). Outside of the start against the D-rays hes pitched really nothing but QS since that Mets start he had on July 1st.
  11. Fine, he got a stomach flu in his last outting and he stuck it out for 4 innings. I'd say hes been better then Jason Johnson.
  12. I believe that was the "scab" prediction.
  13. Its not about popping off. You said he would be a BP pitcher by now and hes 2-0 against the White Sox and Angels (Who hit us like a pinata). Doesnt look like a BP pitcher too us.
  14. Nope, however you are throwing that 5 ERA thing in our face for awhile and you also said he would be a BP pitcher by now. Just reminding you of what has been said.
  15. BTW, I dont see your Randy Johnson ERA update. Well I'll do it for you: 4.92 UNDER 5. I think I'm gonna start a Josh Beckett watch: 5.02
  16. I'm so glad too see them go.
  17. A-Rod gets the sac fly. Almost hit it out.
  18. A-Rod got a cookie and fouled it back on the first pitch.
  19. If he doesnt get that run in he better cover his ears.
  20. I tap out. I've had enough. Get the Angels out of NY.
  21. I hate Chone Figgins. I hate him with a passion.
  22. I was actually thinking about the Yankees giving out a Dotel like deal to another right hander with good stuff. Kerry Wood?
  23. The Red Sox never go quietly at Fenway. When is the last time the Sox got blown out at Fenway. It feels like they are always rallying to make the game close or walking off with the win.
