  1. The streak is over. Rollins went hitless today in a loss to St. Louis. Joe D's record lives to see another day.
  2. We're fourth in the East! It's over!Time to start rebuilding!
  3. Darn. I wanted to see a grand slam.
  4. Actually a better first outing from Wright than I ever saw happening; probably would have helped if the defense had showed up.
  5. It actually happens more than people think.
  6. Yankees just announced that, on Sunday, they're going to stops selling season tickets; they have to or there won't be any available for individual games or group plans.
  7. Leiter Signs Deal with YES Not very surprising; should be interesting seeing him in the booth.
  8. Have enough Yankees been hit this series?
  9. 3 run shot by Sheff!
  10. Matsui's earning that contract...
  11. Rubber game of the opening series... Pitching matchup NYY: RHP Chien-Ming Wang (8-5, 4.02 ERA in 2005) Wang has never faced Oakland, but is 2-0 with a 3.95 ERA in two starts against the American League West. OAK: RHP Dan Haren (14-12, 3.73 ERA in 2005) Haren went 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts against the Yankees last season. Player to watch No Yankees hitter has more than seven at-bats against Haren, but Derek Jeter has made the most of his opportunities against the young right-hander. In six at-bats, Jeter has collected four base hits, a .667 average.
  12. I like Maria; she's a die-hard fan and that's what the show needs. From what I've seen so far, YES made a mistake with Tiffany (or whatever her name is.) She's told she's going to 162 games and she can't show a bit of excitement?
  13. Villone probably could have gone in and I don't see why Farnsworth couldn't have gotten another few outs. Proctor had a pretty good spring (granted it was spring training, but it was still enough to impress the Yankees.) I'm willing to give Proctor a break considering he hadn't pitched in a week, and in that week he had to watch as his daughter went from very ill to under the knife (heart surgery, I believe.)
  14. What was Proctor doing in that game? He hasn't pitched in some time and Joe throws him into a situation with the game on the line? You have to be kidding me.
  15. Fans shouldn't be throwing things on the field or at the players, regardless of what they've done. That guy who held up the huge asterik when Bonds came up had the right idea.
  16. I just read that he's rejoined the team.
  17. http://www.nydailynews.com/ips_rich_content/682-BACK_LARGE.jpg
  18. Proctor isn't on the roster; he's on the bereavement list.
  19. 3 run shot for Matsui. ...it's the 4th inning.
  20. 3 Ks through 2 for Unit.
  21. 7 down, 993 to go.
  22. 2 for 4 isn't bad...
