  1. That would be dumb. Let's get an older guy for double the price who's arm is hanging by a tread
  2. I am a bit puzzled by this from the Jay's though as now they will definitely lose either Vlad and Bichette as they won't be able to afford all 3 of them in 2 years time
  3. I doubt that. Money talks. Jays probably offered 600 Million. The dude is going to be 30 next years. He's already going to start to decline here soon and the fact he's having this much elbow problems he will be irrelevant in a few years. I'm fine with the Sox not getting involved in this.
  4. Ohtani to sigh with the Blue Jays. Didn't see that one coming
  5. With Nola resigning with the Phillies for 172, snell is definitely getting over 200Mil
  6. That's what happens when you walk the number 9 hitter. He screwed himself there
  7. Top catching prospect are hard to come by. You don't trade them away for a player like Varsho
  8. Awful trade. If it wasn't for his defense his value wouldn't be that great. He will probably end up like JBJ in a few years
  9. Nate does it again. I'd like to see them win but I don't like Sherzer in this game 7
  10. 20 different in win total is NOT measly. All I'm saying is for a 162 game season they should value it more. For the longest time only 4 teams made the playoffs total. So you had to win your division and that's it. You had to be the best to get in. When they rearrange the division and included 1 wild card team I was fine with that as you still needed to win your division or having the best record without leading your own division. But now they are taking it too far. It If they want more playoff team then maybe shorten the season make all series 7 games.
  11. Then why not have ALL teams make the playoffs then? If the Diamondbacks happens to win it all you can't tell me that they were the best team in MLB this year.
  12. Agreed. They only won 84 games at that as well. I miss the old format. 162 game season is becoming irrelevant now as you just need to barely finish above 500 to get in.
  13. Kimbrel pooping the bed again tonight
  14. These playoffs have been quite boring very lopsided series so far.
  15. And the Braves are done. That high powered offense couldn't do much in this series.
  16. Oh please no. I find more the more playoff team they add the less it values the regular season. I find they had it perfect when they had just the 3 divisional winners plus one wild card. That way when you made the playoffs you really earned it. Now you can make playoffs playing barely above 500.
  17. All top teams with best record could be out if Atlanta loses to the Phillies. Who would of thought that. Dodgers can't seem to perform in the playoffs. Freeman and Betts did absolutely nothing. In fact Betts has 3 hits in his last 40 post season AB.
  18. I'm in Canada so I have Bell. Didn't know you could watch this on YouTube TV
  19. I can't even watch any of the games today. They are not playing on my cable TV and can't watch it on the mlb TV as it's blacked out. What a croc of s***
  20. Nate continuing to dominate in the post season
  21. If the Angel's eat some of that money they should trade for him. He's guaranteed to produce in the lineup. Heck, even with missing the games he did last year he produce the same WAR as Devers. The dude is a beast.
  22. They f***ed him by putting him as a starter. He's never been the same since.
  23. Yes but he's not having a down year. The fact that they let Mookie and Xander go, they should have let Devers go as well. It doesn't make sense to let go those 2 previous players and keep the lesser one for close to the same price tag. The thing with Devers is he's grip and rip. He's having some good seasons for sure but for paying him that much, he needs to play at an MVP level which he hasn't sniffed yet. If he had more patience at the plate and take his walks he would become an MVP type player even with his s*** defense. Could he adjust in the future? Maybe but he's been in the league a long time now so I can't see that changing. The Red Sox should have pulled an Atlanta Braves move on him and signed him a few years back for 200 MIL or around there.
  24. I always say don't fix what ain't broken
  25. Whitlock hasn't been the same since the starter experiment. I hope he can reset for next year in the bullpen or else that was a cluster f*** of a move
