  1. I completly disagree with you, during a 12 year period he led the the MLB in like 12 different catergories including hits, hrs, and rbis, he should be in, no question
  2. this is awfull, enough said
  3. IF the redsox keep Manny Ramirez and trade for Coco Crisp to play center the sox will definatly have a shot for a WS title in 06. However there are a lot of "ifs" including the health of Schilling, the health and mental state of Keith Foulke as well as how Papelbon will adjust to the life of a Mlb Starter, and mark it down Papelbon WILL start next season. say they trade Clement and Wells to fill the holes at SS and CF keep Arroyo and put him in the pen incase one of our starters goes down. With Crisp, Loretta, Ortiz, Manny, Nixon, Varitek, Lowell/Marte and Youklis they still have one of the most potent offesnses in the Majors. The Bulpen always remains a question mark. Here are my main questions 1. Will Foulke return to 04 form, or will he flop agian this year? 2. Will newly aquired Mota have a bounce back year and really help out this pen? 3. What Role will Hansen and Delcarmen play next season? Let's not jump the gun on next season; this team still has a chance to be very good.
  4. Could you do one of Nixon?
  5. For what its worth, it was Tony Massorotti of the Hearld, who usually knows what he is talking about. plus i have also heard that they might cut Tony G in spring training as horrible as that sounds.
  6. I heard yesterday on NewEnglandSports Tonight, that they might stick with Alex Cora at short. That scares me a little, i would feel more comfortable with Lugo or Gonzlalez. As for how to get a CF either trade Arroyo or Clement for either Crisp or Reed, Personally i would love to have crisp he plays the game hard, is a good outfielder and put up nice stats 300. 16. 69 he also stole 15 bags. I think he would be a great fit and a fan favorite
  7. Why cant we just talk Manny to stay and contiune to build around Ortiz/Ramirez, Manny will not just retire, and Manny has hardly ever been a distraction in the clubhouse, he mainly keeps to him self. I put up with the little incidents for 300 45 150 every day of the week.
  8. If the front office traded away Papelbon or Hansen i would probally jump off a bridge
  9. Red Sox fans didnt chase Damon, Nomar or Pedro out of town, you are a complete dumbass. First off when Nomar got traded he was no longer the franchise player, also he was traded so he didnt get run out of town. Um Pedro went for the extra year the redsox front office would not give him, I dont think Pedro had beef with Boston fans, in fact he is on record saying, winning 1 world championship in Boston would be better then 3 anywhere eles because of the fans. Also i dont think Redsox fans booed Pedro ever. And Yankees fans cant talk either i beilive you guys booed Jeter when he was in his 0-30 slump a few years back. Thats why people booed Belhorn, its all about the now, Belhorn was striking out 2 times a game and it was just frustrating to watch.
  10. yes Damon is a complete Dumbass, which was only tollorable when he was a sox
  11. Why is this a better long term option for the sox, i think Damon will be great all four years of the contract. Do you see a legite prospect to play center that can fill the leadoff spot and CF, Umm no, this is terrible by the sox front office, Damon was a God in this city and the Catylist for the entire lineup, with no leadoff man Manny and Davids RBI totals go Down
  12. 40 to 52 millon, i mean come on Johnny Damon has enough Money to do what ever he wants for the rest of his life, seriously this is what is wrong with sports, leaving a town that has the most pasionate fans in baseball for your arch-rival just for 3 millon more a year, To Damon thats pocket change
  13. You know what i wouldnt care if say Damon went to the Dodgers, i mean but he stabed RSN in the back for a few extra dollars, which shouldnt have happened he should have been payed. what makes you think that Damon will suck in the 4th year, he will only be 36 a lot of ball players are sucsessful in their late 30's
  14. Lucchino and Damon are both Bastards
  15. Here mine Lorreta-ss Youk-1b Ortiz-dh Manny (God i will kill someone if they trade him at this point)-lf Tek-c Nixon-rf Lowell-3b/Marte if Lowel Struggles early Reed-CF what a downgarde This lineup can only survive if Manny is here, even then the depth is gone, wow what a couple of years can make
  16. Lets be real, if the sox had matched the offer Damon would be Red Sox
  17. 4-40 fine first offer, but if the Yankees offer 4-52, then you do it. Damon is the best leadoff hitter in the game.
  18. Not to mention his lousy 250 BA with 4 Hrs
  19. The stuff he did in 2004 is now tarnished. I can never look at it the same agian, he joined the very team he helped beat, and know it is time to BOO the s*** OUT OF HIM, I will pay the frigging 1000 dollars it will take just to boo Damon.
  20. I agree with you about the dysfunctioal front office. The only time it has not been that was 2003-2005. Hmm... ohh wait didnt we have the best GM in baseball during those years, but freaking Larry Luccino had to screw up the stability that led us to a ws championship. With Theo as GM, DAMON WOULD STILL BE A SOX
  21. why is 3 millon more a year an over pay. The Sox can afford, they own Nesn for Gods Sake, they chrage 70 bucks to get into a game, dont bring Money into this, thats retarted, also What makes you think Lorreta will be an upgrade to Tony G. he hit .319 for us down the strech, and why mess with something good... Mirabelli/Wake GOOD. I understand renteria i guess but im starting to think they should have at least given him another shot seeing as though they dont seem to have much of a back up plan in place, and only God knows where we are going to get a CF.
  22. This has been one of the worst offseasons in redsox history, and why? Could it possobly be that stuck-up Larry Lucchino didnt resign Theo Epstein?, absoultly, New Red Sox Gm duo Mary Kate and Ashley, have really gotten no goals acomplished. First off dont credit them with Getting Beckett, Beckett fell into their lap. Next off you trade Doug Mirabelli for washed up Mark Loretta. Why couldnt we have just see that Tony G. was coming back and let him play second, that way we could keep Mirabelli. I belive wakefield was like 16-7 with a 3.00 Era with Dougy catching. Next off we still havent found a solution for firstbase, they let Toronto off all teams snatch Lyle Overbay from us, which is absured, next they traded our Short-stop Edgar for a prospect who may be good oneday. Oh to top it all off they let Johnny Damon sign with our arch enemies. Now, with no CF and SS the 2006 Red Sox are screwed, thanks Larry!
  23. Red Sox fans who go to the Redsox yankee games should boo the living hell out of him, give him no mercy
